    It was the most clean room we have ever had. It had a really big bathroom, a double bed and a really nice reception. We felt like we were in our home.     The breakfast both days was outstanding. It has been a long time since I've experienced such choice and such well cooked breakfast in an hotel. All staff we came in contact with were extremely friendly and helpful. - Everyone was helpful and very happy in their work.The room was comfortable and the heating system was easily turned off!

    The owners run a really welcoming, comfortable B&B, nothing is too much trouble for them. The building is wonderful, once a prison in the 1700's, it is now one that you want to be in ! The location is central, Dorchester is an interesting old market town and in turn it is well situated for visiting a truly lovely area. Thomas Hardy country is... what people say » a joy, well worth returning to. - Casterbridge is a really nice location where to spend one night or a couple of days while visiting Jurassic coast. Dorchester is noting special but the Casterbridge is really convenient - very very nice furniture, really very clean, breakfast very rich, car park, staff supportive. The Lady is really nice. It is a perfect place where to stay and the room is very romantic.

    Always have that feeling when you turn up at an unknown place to stay what it will be like. well from stepping inside it just had this lovely feeling. The place was warm clean and spacious. the beds were big and comfy. Breakfast was excellent and unusual from the point that there was just one large table to sit at but this gave a more family / fri... what people say » endly atmosphere as opposed to the normal hotel chain arrangement. well done. - We loved this old Victorian building and our bedroom was delightful with a very comfy super king bed! The owner Mark was welcoming, helpful & extremely friendly. The breakfast was served in a lovely Victorian room where you could read up on the history. We would completely recommend staying here & we wouldn't hesitate to stay there next time we are in the area.

    location of room and close proximity to town - Closeness to the town, and the staff were very friendly, shame the room was a bit dated and shoddy. We had stayed the night before in the Premier Inn and there was no comparison with the room but The Ship had a lovely warm bar which was pleasant to sit in, so that slightly made up for the room.

    Te location was ideal, right on the main street near to shops, restaurants and pubs. The owners, Melz and Tom are friendly, welcoming and informative. Our nicely decorated room was very comfortable with a modern en-suite bathroom and fab shower.     Despite a wedding reception on the Saturday night which did not in any way affect our stay this was a very quiet hotel with no traffic noise whatsoever. We had breakfast on two mornings. These were all freshly cooked and excellent with an impressive and plentiful array of sundries to accompany the meal. - Best breakfast, I have had for a long time.... what people say » Staff were very friendly and made me feel very welcome. fillet steak cooked perfectly.
