Lack of a residants lounge or bar,as the hotel bar is open to the public and was busy and noisy on the weekend.Had problems with the safe, which could not be fixed immediately but only the following morning due to no fault of the staff who did try. It would have been a disaster if I had needed my cash, passport or computer which were in the safe when the fault occurred. Staff woke us for cleaning at 9 AM on a Saturday!. it would be great to see more use of Welsh. Noise from pubs and night clubs in street until 4 am. parking difficult. On return to hotel at about 22.30, very surprised to find my room had been double booked, and was occupied by another person. However, this was dealt with very well by reception. I liked that the staff were able to upgrade my room and offer a bottle of wine as apology without having to refer to management, I was not too inconvenienced by the mistake.Our room faced the front of the hotel which was extremely noisy at night due to nightclubs and bars directly opposite. Hardly slept all night!!! Only one bar area which was used by numerous members of the public during the evening and no other bar for use of patrons of the hotel so found there was no where to sit quietly during the evening. Location on north side of Cardiff cbd between main shopping area anduniversity - hotel almost perfect except for short walk to and from mainshopping area. The noise of a band playing until 1am before I ran 13 miles in Cardiff half! It didn't matter I still did a personal best but it was a bit annoying considering I paid a good amount to get a good night sleep!. Haveing togo home.internet access via the TV was incredibly slow. the front desk was slow and lumbered with incoming calls, check in was far too long a wait, calling a taxi was a big deal.

Breakfast is served from 07:00 – 10:00 Monday – Friday and from 07:30 – 10:30 on weekends.
