My friend and really enjoyed our stay at the Ramada Hotel in Bristol at the weekend. The only unfortunate downside was that the hot water tap connected to the shower unit would not turn so you could not cool the water down, it was so red hot at times whilst I was washing my hair that I nearly fainted in the heat. Nothing at all..everything superb. Noise at night from disco. Breakfast was only from 7.30pm so we missed it. We thought an extra charge for parking was odd but no big deal.Bar prices were very high. Checking in. The walls are a bit thin!. I don't feel hotels should charge for parking when the car park is solely owned by them.dirty glasses and mugs left scattered in corridor for long period of time: bed a bit hard. towels were replaced unnecessarily. some of the reception staff could be more welcoming, smile a bit more.on the last day for breakfast, we had to wait for the b/fast foods to be replenished.The room seemed a little small. The shower did not work properly. One of the lights above the bed did not work - I reported this to the reception staff but nothing happened. Gym needs updating. Yes, the Church bells next door drove me crazy!!! Also the volume limitations on Television volume needs to be adjusted down as I was woken by the room next door who then checked out and left the TV blazing away.In addition some of the room cleaning staff need to stop slamming/banging doors early in the morning and avoid loud conversations with each other. a lot of the staff, although pleasant, need more training. The bed was a little uncomfortable and the duvet was quite thin, there was no towel rail or radiator in the bathroom. The fact that you can only order a couple of things on room service after 22.30 or so, this was very poor as we arrived at the hotel late due to travel and couldn't eat anything.It was a very busy weekend due to a major sporting tournament in Cardiff. When we returned to the hotel on Saturday evening and wanted a drink in the bar, there was 1 person serving on a very busy bar. The hotel had rung me earlier in the week to have confirmation of my booking as they were fully booked, so this would not have been a surprise to them. Need to look at staffing levels. Wedding party was very noisey, doors and corrider noise. Having to pay extra to park car.

Travelling information

By car:
From the north, east and west (via M5 and M4 motorways):
- Take the M32 into Bristol from junction 19 of the M4 motorway.
- At the end of the M32 (Newfoundland Road), turn left at the traffic lights (signposted Temple Meads Station/ A4/ Bath).
- Go under the underpass, keeping in the left-hand lane.
- Carry straight on at the traffic lights, bear left (signposted A4/Bath), but stay in the right-hand lane.
- Go past Temple Meads Station on your left to a large roundabout.
- Go all the way round the roundabout, doubling back so that Temple Meads Station is now on your right.
- Stay in the left-hand lane and bear left into Redcliffe Way.
- The hotel entrance is on your left.

From the south-west:
- Take the M5 North.
- Exit at junction 19 (Gordana Services) and take the A369 towards Bristol.
- Follow this road for approximately 7 miles until you reach a roundabout.
- Go up the slip road and filter onto the dual carriageway.
- Take the 1st exit (approximately 200 yards) and follow the signs for Temple Mead railway station.
- When you come to the big roundabout take the 3rd exit (again signposted Temple Meads).
- At the junction at the end of the road, turn left, keeping in the left-hand lane.
- Follow the road and bear left into Redcliffe Way.
- The hotel entrance is on your left.
