Friendly helpful staff. Centre of Bath location. Ease of entry to hotel from very convenient car park. The hotel was central for everything and in walking distance for shopping, eating, theatre etc..The staff went out of their way to accomodate our parking problem. They went the extra mile. The lighting was a little dark in the rooms. I couldn't understand the lack of essentials in the bathroom, like shower gel, shower caps. And it was just one peace of soap for 2 of us provided.Bed was noisy. Hotel obviously in need of the current refurbishment. General facilities need a facelift carpets and walls painted. noise in the hotel at night and from outside did not enable me to sleep until 3am!. Lift out of order!!. The room was small and in need of updating the best way to describe the hotel was tired although I understand they are in the process of refurbishing.Jaded bathroom and furniture but updating in progress. The room was extremely hot even with the air conditioning on. We had to have the windows wide open and thus suffered from the noise from rowdy revellers.Second floor room we stayed in could do with updating. First floor rooms looked like they had already had a make-over. An additional £14 for a buffet breakfast that was average at best and luke warm was a real kick in the teeth having already spent £115 on a room.
