  The parking lot was large and there was no problem parking up close to the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large, comfortable, and very well furnished.   The resort felt exclusive yet had a friendly atmosphere. The hotel has been refurbished to a high standard & felt luxurious. Full scottish breakie here is one of my best memories of Scotland. Staff are also pretty terrific. We had a pine terrace room and they need some work, to be honest. Looking a bit had it. CLose to Ballater, a short walk. But make the drive to Braemar, its more chocolate box pretty. Fairly limited dining options in Ballater.

  This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel. We like the location, but most of all it's the staff: can't find any complaint whatsoever, they're extremely friendly and go out of their way in looking after the guests, in fact I'd say they go beyond what's expected of them.
