  we just loved everything about the dowans . . The family/owners were very welcoming and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. Our room was perfect and the view from our window was spectacular. The food was excellent and there were several local game choices on the menu which we really enjoyed. The place is amazing, the staff amazing, the location perfect and the owners outstanding! There's no words can describe our stay. They all couldn't do anything more for us. A definate return is on the cards, and there's not many times I can say those words about a hotel, 5* luxury at its very best!!!

  Tina and Norman MacGeoch are excellent hosts. They give you the feeling of being part of the family. My son and I were given a spacious room with 2 king size beds and an en-suite bathroom. Tina cooks for all guests both breakfast and dinner. Both meals were always delicious. The best was the per-dinner meeting of the guests in the living room for ... what people say » a chat and the tasting of exquisite single malt whiskies that experienced guests stood a round of drinks. We were advised what whisky distilleries sho - We had a great welcome into the Cadhu Country House. We arrived around a 5pm and they waiting us with a warm tea and delicious cookie and of course with their lovely dogs :) The breakfast and dinner was very very good, even you can order something that you'll like to eat, but in advance. You must to try the Fresh Scotish Salmon, very fresh exactly from the river. Big room, bathroom, very quiet and clean. Thank you for your hospitality and we will come back for sure.

  Everything was excellent. Staff friendly and accommodating, room immaculate, bed comfortable, bathroom immaculate - lovely big bath - plenty of hot water. Absolutely delighted with the hotel and I've already recommended it to others. - Hotel was clean and the staff were very attentive. Would stay there agina and recommend it to friends.
