Sometimes you meet an exceptional person who touches your life. Murat, who runs this hotel, is such a person. He makes all his guests feel very welcome and comfortable, he helps them to plan their days and even takes them out on walks with him. He took us, along with some other guests, to the magical Rose Valley.His cave hotel is rated as the best B&B in Ushisar and he certainly deserves this accolade. We paid a little extra for our room to have the great view over more or less the whole re.
all reviews » My son and I enjoyed the environment of Capadoccia but would not have been able to do so without the help of the staff at Takaev who organised the balloon trip, tours, transfers and provided us with information about local sights and facilities. Staff were gentle in their approach, efficient in their delivery and had a wicked albeit understated sense of humour. I would have loved to take them with us for the rest of our tour. The hotel does not have a restaurant but nevertheless provided a fabu. We booked the Ground floor suite at Takaev which has a kitchen (small worktop and a fridge) two cave bedrooms with en suite shower rooms and a sitting room. We found the staff to be extremely helpful & couldn't do enough for you, they even sat with us after breakfast to work out our days route through the various tourist hotspots. Our host Murat had arranged our transfer buses to and from the airport at a very reasonable 40 Euros each way for 4 people. Uchisar is without doubt the best area. Stayed two nights at Takaev and thoroughly enjoyed it. We received a warm welcome and lots of useful information. Staff went out of their way to help organize our hiking activities and hot air ballon ride. The hotel itself is very good , rooms were attractive and spotless. The terrace has a fabulous view of the valleys below and combined with the lounge is a great place to relax. There are other common areas to lounge in and it was rare on our journey in Turkey to find a hotel which allowed gue. This hotel was by far our best experience in Turkey. It is unbelievably gorgeous and the views from the terrace are amazing. The rooms are very spacious and beautiful. Free bottled water for hiking is great. The best part about this hotel, however, is the staff. They will help you plan your day and know the best routes to hike and drive. There is even a hiking trial you can get on from below the hotel. We arrived with no plans and a short time to visit the area, they were able to guide us to make the most of our stay in Cappadocia.They had lot of patience as well since we were constantly changing our plans.The excursion in the rose valley offered by the hotel was exceptional as well. The atmosphere remained familial and simple, the place is quiet, we had a great view from the Terrasse and our r. The owner, Murat was very friendly and made our stay at Taka Ev memorable one. His concept of "be it the guest's house" is reflected in many places such as offers of laundry facility and free flow of mineral water bottles. The view from the room was amazing with Kappadochia valley and especially hot air balloons in the sky in the early morning. I recommend to wake up early(around 6-7AM) and view the scenary if you are not on the balloons yourself! Taka Ev became one of the hotels I'd definite. Excellent view, good facility, warm staff, tranquility and breakfast with gorgeous fruits. Atmosphere in Taka is fabulous. A special greeting party made us feel at home all at once. Assists are available in nearly every aspect, as day tour, cycling, balloon trip, even souvenir shopping. Very spacious and tastefully decorated. The rooms are at different floors and every room is unique. The terrace has amazing views. Above all, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They are always very patient to give you advise and book things for you, and offer you free trips. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to our friends. Amazing setting on the cliffs of Uchisar. The view from the terrace was wonderful. Our cave room was a perfect retreat at the end of the day. Dinner at Takaev is also a real treat.....a mutli-course home-cooked feast. I had a suite and it was wonderful, bathroom with a Jacuzzi, bliss. Mehmet, picked us up on the outskirts of the town and was most obliging in taking us to the outdoor museum. Loved the location of this wonderful place and the detailed attention that Memet and Murat give is extremely nice! from the moment we got there Memet helped us figure out hikes and an itenirary for exploring the area. They also gave us several rides to nearby town when we needed. The location in Uchisar is much better than staying in Gorem, where it's more for larger hotels, Uchisar is high up and lovely area. The friendly, home-like environment makes Taka Ev a great place to access the interesting sites around Goreme. Enis and Murat were more than helpful with information, phone calls and guidance. Breakfast is a highlight, together with the organisation of the hot air balloon ride and the view of the valley / balloons in the early morning light! Actually, he was so kind that when I got to the hotel after a long bus trip from Ankara, he asked the staff to made me a sandwich so I didn't lose any time having lunch. Free services abound such as endless bottles of water, use of the washing machine and dryer and transport to museums, tour connections and freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast. The hotel was amazing the manager and staff couldn't do enough for us my partner celebrated his birthday and the manager got a lovely cake for us and some of the gusts from France joined ın magical.The suit was great very clean wıth beautiful fresh sheets and covers We will revisit. The views are just great in this hotel. The terrace is amazing and it's worth for everything the rest. Decoration is nice and authentic. Breakfast is ok, changing a bit every day (the yogurt is really good!). You should try the dinner in the hotel, with typical turkish homemade food. It was perfect. We had a dinner at Taka Ev. It was quite decent but it could be improved. only have wifi in public area (maybe it's time to put technology aside and enjoy the beauty of nature), no elevator (this might be common for all cave suits though), not in the goreme, so it would be less convenience but quieter and the sight from hill is breath taking. if you are not a very old man, i don't think above are problems to you. Nothing. Having to say good bye..... The cave rooms are a little cold, but that's expected they are afterall caves. The hotel is not within a walking distance from Gorëme, but whenever possible the hotel gave me a ride to the city. Not such a big deal. Nothing. Our stay was too short. However, the hotel needs to improve its cleanness. Our bed had some sand in the first day (were the sheets clean?). Besides that, the mattress and the pillows were pretty uncomfortable. Also the Internet signal was too weak in several parts of the hotel. Nothing!!. No TV. No wifi in room. No TV in the room. Because the window in our room was very small, it was a little dark inside and we didn't have the opportunity to view the amazing landscape from our room. so far WiFi is available primarily on one floor only. - We just had two complete days in Uçhisar, would have stayed longer. What I didn't like... nothing :). No dinner on Sunday. nothing. Nothing. It was all absolute perfect, no complains. nothing I dislike. I'm from asia, hope breakfast more hot food.
