We booked this hotel at the end of our trip, before flying out of Ataturk. We didn't have enough time to go into the city, so we just booked a hotel close to the airport. It's 15 min away (10 euros, or 20-22.5 turkish liras) by taxi. The room we got (on the 9th floor) was fantastic. Very comfortable beds, nice bathroom. They even brought a fruit plate. And had plenty of coffee and tea to choose from. The staff was very friendly. There is a spa (not free obviously) and exercise (i'm assuming fre.
all reviews » Titanic Hotel chain is one of the best Hotel in Turkey. In Titanic Bakirkoy, from check in to the check out everthing was well prepared like other Titanic Hotels. My first experince with Titanic hotels was in Taksim several years ago. Since then, nothing changed. I was really appreciated at that time.I believe many European countries do not have such a management. From cleaning staff till high level of manager, thank you very much for everybody in the group. I stayed 3 nights with family & children. Many thanks for the staff and management who were very cooperative and helpfull during my stay. I highly recommend it for orhers. Hotel is located next to 2 shpping Malls and near to airport , facilities are excellent, Rooms are great with good services. Breakfast is full of many options. Special thanks for: Ms Sibel MUTLU , Guest Relations Executive. Very nice rooms in which you are greeted with a plate of fresh fruit, chocolates and other candies, staff extremely attentive, listening and smiling. The breakfast is simply gargantuan. Located near a mall, it can combine business with pleasure. They had a fantastic wellness center with traditional bucket showers and even a Turkish bath. The staff was fluent in English and extremely helpful. We decided to stay near the airport the night before our departure after a 4 week trip and we were delighted with this hotel. We had a small dinner in the 12th floor restaurant and got a taxi easily at 5am the next morning. Clean, quite, Nice staff. 10 mins to "Taksim" with dolmos , really lots of shops and restaurants around. Little walk to the beach and lots of clubs. Windows were not clean and the view is not the sea, difficult to go near to window and look at left side to find the sea. Nothing!. temperature control in room was not great (air conditioning was weak). Mattress needs to be changed as they are too soft now. A 5 star hotel should maintain its rooms itself rather than doing it on the complaint of a guest. Lever of window blinds in the wash room was broken. When we tried to open the window the lock came into our hand. However both problems were fixed immediately. Internet connection speed was slow. A bit distant from centre but still things to do around it. The room was very hot and even even sleeping with the window cracked open didn't help. The ac was actually just a vent. I think they turn on the ac later maybe in June. Istanbul has lovely weather but we did suffer in the one night we spent at the Titanic. We had seen on the map that the hotel is quite close to the Bakirköy station of the suburban rail line, which seemed quite convenient - the only problem was that this rail line has closed down. It will probably take quite some time until it reopens. The temperature in the room (915) was extremely high. Airco was blowing warm air and to sleep with an open window is not an option, due to the noise outside. So, a strong recommendation to improve it.
