Ayub is super helpful and really friendly. I couldn't find the hotel at first and he came out on the street looking for me. At about €30/night I can't believe what a great place it was; centrally located, clean, safe, and generally nice. It's about 50m from Taksim Square so you're close enough to it, but you're also spared the noise that can continue past your bedtime. I've recommended this to friends visiting and I'll be staying there the next time I'm in town : ).
