This hotel offers everything you can wish for: Big, comfortable and stylish rooms with very comfortable beds right in town center. The room was clean and the minibar, which is free, was refilled every day with water, chocolates, drinks..the hotel is close to Taksim square, the area is very lively and has lots of bars and restaurants nearby (many of them are open all night long) and is a good place to go to visit all the attractions in this beautiful city. all reviews » I had a wonderful time in Istanbul, and staying in Apartof was certainly a great part of it. The hotel has the best localization, a 1-minute walk from Istiklal Caddesi and less than 5-minute walk from Taksim metro station, from where you can easily reach every spot in the city. In Istiklal street there are a lot of international restaurants and shops, as well as a lot of typical turkish places to try. The hotel does not have breakfast, but you won't miss it for sure, as you have lots of options. The apartment itself locates very close to Taksim square, where transportation is easy and shopping is more than convenient. There are of course many restaurant and bars around in this area. As for the room, the facilities are new and clean, and we like the decoration style - simple but comfortable. We were so happy that the shower was very powerful and the bathroom was clean and spacious too. The owner has been very friendly and mor than helpful. We got every question (about information of tra. The guy from the hotel was very polite and helpful. We were surprised that he met us by the taxi to help us with the luggage. The staircase in the hotel is Amsterdam style (rather bold, so as it was said in previous comments, tough for elder people) his help was useful:))) The room was very big and clean. It was unfortunate that due to the protests the overall public transport otherwise easily accessible from the hotel was effected. It's a 20 minute walk from Sultanahmet and a 2 minute walk from Taksim Square. Erdin was very kind, efficient and helpfull. The room is really spacious, well equiped, and very comfortable. Apartof is from 1 mm walking to the incredible Istiklal avenue, where more than 3 millions persons is walking per day during the week-end. The taksim place is about 5 mn, and you can get all the public transport for connection, and also the Havatas buses for Ataturk Airport ( 10 TR , less than 4 €). Everything was great. Apartof is perfectly located near the main street, taksim square and Istanbul attractions. The room and facilites were excelent. The owner Erdin was very friendly and he was pending on our needs (he went to pick us 1 am to the bus stop at taksim square!). Even though it was right in the middle of Taksim there was absolutely no noise inside the apartments, it was sound proof. It's absolutely an ideal place to stay and worth your money's value. The apartments are beautifully designed; contemporary in an old building with high ceilings. The location is in Taksim; a lively area. Its a short distance to the old town and very well connected.The fact that its in the midst of a buzzing night-time destination for locals and tourists alike means there is some noise; but we felt that just added to the atmosphere. The noise from the neighboring bars especially during the weekend, could not be ignored by people sensitive to noise, but this is unavoidable for hotels that are so centrally located. Absolutely nothing. wish I could stay more nights. Nothing!. Could be a bit noisy at night, but we closed the window and slept really well and when you wake up, you are in the heart of the city!!. Except the rooms, the hotel is VERY very small and narrow. No breakfast option..although you are near A LOT of cafes and restaurants, so food is really not an issue. We were lucky to get a room with a balcony on Istiklal road, I've seen the other side rooms; which do not have a balcony, and are facing a horrible view of a dumpster. so make sure to book one that are facing the main road. Stairs only there is no elevator. There is nothing to complain here. Nothing! If visiting Istanbul again, I would not hesitate to book again at Apartof. On saterday it was quite noisy due to the clubs and bars around the hotel. With the windows closed it was ok and we slept really well. A little bit noise at night from the pub opposite apartments. Can be noisy at night. Stairs. They are steep, especially between 2nd floor and 3rd floor. There is no lift and the stairs are steep if you have heavy luggage,though the owner is very willing to help. If you are in the front room the music in the bars in the street goes to the early hours in the morning (the . I had a problem with the booking (my mistake) and the solution to me seemed very simple but the owner was unwilling to resolve the issue. The noise was very disturbing. The staircase was very high and too winding. Difficult to climb the stairs after a long day in the city. Would be difficult for families with young children. Our room was on the 3rd floor and climbing the stairs 3-4 times a day was the only negative. Lots of stairs. Loud noise from nearby clubs. Noise during the night. No elevator – steep stairs. i enjoyed my stay , no complaints. there is no elevator in the hotel. Also in the night it gets very noisy because if the pubs and clubs nearby until 4:30-5am. The noise level of the outside pubs. Noise in the night from the street. There is no elevator in the building and the stairs are very steep. It could be a problem if you have a heavy luggage. Too much noise during night and a hassle when riots ocurr, given the close proximity to Taksim Square.
