We initially stayed for a couple of days then moved south. On returning we to Hua Hin we decided to book in again at Veranda Lodge. The staff welcomed us back and gave us an upgrade which was lovely. The room was very good and we loved the fact that the Hotel is right on the beach - breakfast overlooking the sea! We hope to return some day!. Right on the beach and a really good restaurant. I have stayed here multiple times with varying groups of friends and keep going back. The garden villas are particularly nice. Close enough to town to walk, or the staff will call transport for you which is very inexpensive.
all reviews » It is just by the beach. Staff are friendly with smiles, helpful and attentive. Our free Breakfasts were not bad at cafe. Peaceful and quiet environment throughout my stay. I am glad I went ahead to book Veranda Lodge despite the unfavorable comments I saw from others. Location was ideal and the staff helpful and friendly. Room was quiet and air conditioning excellent. Ideal for beach holiday with new shopping mall at the end of the road and in twenty minutes downtown Hua Hin for more shops and endless restaurants. The beach just in front of the hotel. The restaurant on the beach .Pleasant room. Decoration items everywhere in the garden. The parrots , flowers.... And a wonderful staff always available... Beachfront hotel stay. Close to main attractions in town. Friendly, attentive staff. Breakfast was good and filling. Location, location, location. The staff were very friendly and positive, always smiling and willing to help. Would definitely recommend to friends and colleagues. Close to beach, clean and quite nice. In a garden bungalow there is not much privacy when the curtains are open as other bungalows are close by and people can walk past. Having to leave. No mini-bar. There is no swimming pool. Grounds need a bit of a renovation and starting to show its age. Common areas quite worn. Small pool without view of sea and limited seating. No poolside service. No beach service. Swimming pool Not very clean. Some of table and chairs on thé beach must be changed Thé breakfast should be à buffet. Old and run down in need of a refurbishment. Didnt like the birds and animals in cages, it made the place smell! Very dark and dingy around the pool. Tiny pool. Staff lack english language. swimming pool is too small; access road feels isolated. We pay for the most expensive budget for room but i cant catch up wifi signal in the room.I have to walk outside the room searching for wifi. The facilities need an upgrade. The breakfast wasn't the best. overprice. The time we booked there did not noticed hotel was under renovation. The beach bar and the beach terraced was closed. The place lacks 'enthusiasm" - seems like absentee-owners who want to squeeze out max cash flow - landscaping/gardening cud be so much better - no tender loving care there - best asset to Veranda is the photographer who supplied the internet photo shots. Many mosquito. The staff were not friendly. Twin room booked as 2 mature ladies, given double bed and forced to pay 3000 baht to change rooms. Total over 8700 baht. Manageress would not budge on price even though not our fault. Breakfast was not good, buffet would be much better with chef cooking in front of guests, only cornflakes not god enough or a 4 star hotel. No opinion. room rate is much over value compare with its facility and services. breakfast is poor. This is not same as Veranda spa & resort, this place is far from that expect even they're same price. So please be careful while booking. I also got the different room from pictures as shown on letsbookhotel.com website (I booked Veranda on beach). Not every facility they had in the room as their list on website such as mini bar or hairdryer. Anyway take your chance. did not like the hotel at all.
