We went in the hot season, just before the rainy season, so the place was quiet and we got a great deal on a pool-side room. The weather held (mostly) but was extremely hot - up to 38c at times, so the pool (and aircon) were a blessing. The room was beautiful and well cleaned but the real highlight is the place itself - from the classic Lanna style entrance 'building' which is very pretty, especially lit up at night, the waterfalls, ponds, trees (you need to read the notes pinned on them!), scu.
all reviews » We (2 adults + 1 child) stayed at KP for 3 nights in one of the 94 sqm Lanna villas. That was a great deal well worth the extra 50USD/night for enjoying full privacy, private garden, outdoor jacuzzi, massage tables and steam room. KP site is well kept, the room service spotless, the breakfast royal (bit weak on the pastries though), the staff very friendly and access to downtown made hassle free thanks to the KP shuttle bus (book it well in advance especially on WE) or you can always book a cab. The resort is gorgeous and peaceful. The layout is unique with each room overlooking a magnificent pool. The food is very good too. The resort also shares it's property with a theater dinner and cultural dance show that is excellent and just a few steps away. I would highly recommend this resort to my friends and family. The setting of this hotel in the middle of forest was nice. We injoyed the large swimming pool. Great Breakfast. They also have a daily show with dinner for a fee in a near by sister company that attracts tourists from other hotels. Great pool - stayed in a poolside room which has direct access to the pool from your hotel rooms - liked that a lot. Hotel is architecturally beautiful with a quiet surrounding and peaceful atmosphere. I loved the cleanliness and layout of the rooms and the lagoon pool was amazingly clean and beautiful. Location, Design , Landscaping. the hotel is beautiful. nice garden and room. The hotel environment is very good. The room was spacious. Restaurant staff not really on-the-ball, with one exception: Mr KIP. location was a bit out of the city of Chang Mai. Not a thing. The prices of the spa were a bit exuberant hence we did not use, cheapet to go into town to get massage. nothing not too like. check in area facility too small and can be a long wait considering the size of the resort. The buffet breakfast was a bit above average though adequate. Unfortunately, the service was a tad lacking as the food was not replaced fast enough. hope the bed can be more softer. outside the hotel can arrange some car to the old city. a little bit far away from the old town to the turists. Slightly out of town but no real issue as taxis are so cheap. Mosquito was the only issue.. Mosquitoes in the room . insects. Nothing. จากุสซี่ไม่ทำงานไม่ซ่อมให้. Very little. service. The wireless internet was a problem in the room. Signal was weak and sometimes it was not working. Breakfast was a bit weak. A lot of mosquitos and lizards around. The attitude of some reception staff The situation was quite a way out of town. Spa prices are extremely expensive. Housekeeping are sucks a lot of Mosquito. This is the worst 5star hotel I've ever stay. the service of lady with glasses in the reception is really bad. she did not solve my problem,even worse she left me there. When i asked her to call her boss,she pretend to hear nothing. location is bad either. It is really far from the downtown and the hotel only provide few shuttle bus. it is a bit far from town. you need to have car. booking car to night plaza always full cant by car .... The WIFI signal is very poor ，the pillow is too uncomfortable。. The room was full of mosquitos. We fear that our family will catch dengue. We did not sleep for all 4 nights as the mosqitos kept biting us. We did inform the staff, but they just put a mosquito coil which was ineffective. We would not recomend this resort to anyone. We would not stay here again.
