  There is nothing we disliked in this hotel. The concept is somewhat different from other hotels, there is for example no lobby or recreational activities by the hotel itself. However, the concept takes into account that the location is in the middle of Chaweng Beach where you can easily find whatever you look for.   Excellent Staff; very very friendly and helpful people!! The receptionist is always smiling and the owner is from Turkey with a thai partner .. All are very helpful .. Whenever I needed their help(even at the night time) they didn't hesitate to help me about anything.. Also tipped me about the tours at the island .. Breakfast is open - Couldn't fault this guest house. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast great, eggs, sausage, toast, fruit, tea, coffee. Basic but more than enough. Rooms were spacious and clean, nice balcony area outside room. Very near to night life but far enough away to have a peaceful sleep. Don't bother getting a baht bus - rip off . 50 baht for about 500m! And definately not on way back to hotel as you have to walk to end of one way junction and by then you are practically there.   I stayed with my 14 year old son at this resort for 4 nights, in the middle of July. And we had an amazing stay! The staff were outstanding, even though the resort was fully booked. Always smiling and serviceminded. The restaurant food is standard, breakfast ok, not fantastic, but the VIEW from the restaurant... :o). We had a pool side room, which - Stayed in this hotel for 6 days. Helpful and kind staff, the best beach that we saw in the island (this part of Chaweng is not so noisy and dirty), clean sand, sea. Breakfasts are very good. Rooms are nice (we booked the cheapest room and were happy, because nobody was walking along our room, and there were no noise as at the rooms near the swimming pool and beachfront rooms). Location is excellent. When we're leaving it was early check out (5am) and in the evening before we asked a receptionis

  Great facilities for the price, excellent value for money if you're traveling on a budget. Great location for a family/beach trip - hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the best sands in Samui. It's a ten minute bike ride away from Chaweng's main drag though, which is not ideal if you're in Chaweng to party, but it is if you're there for the beach.   Whispering Palms was rightly priced, in a quiet part of town and with a variety of stay-length options. The booking and arrival went very smoothly. Being an apartment complex it was nice to have a lounge with TV, a good sized bed and bedroom with very good storage and a TV, a full kitchenette with large fridge/freezer, and an adequate bathroom. ... what people say » The choice of 2 pools was a bonus and the availability of a tuk tuk service to town was a nice touch.
