Excellent rooms, spotlessly clean. Friendly and professional staff with a good level of English for those who require it. Free use of gym and swimming pool is a nice plus and the breakfasts are fantastic. One slight criticism is that in the information book in the rooms it says they offer a courier service and to contact their business department. However, when I did this I was directed to reception who didn't seem to be aware of such a service. That said they were again very helpful and contac.
all reviews » The Service was Splendid and the room was luxurious big and clean and well-maintained for Bangkok Standards. It is just 1 stop away from Siam BTS station, Ratchethewi BTS station is just next to the hotel, 1 min walk away. I stayed in a Grand Deluxe Suite that was 70+ Sqm big. All the staffs were friendly but not over-friendly, they know when to let you have some personal space, which is super good for us. Breakfast was a sumptuous spread with even various cheeses offered on the buffet table, w. The breakfast. The staff. The location. Close to mbk shopping center. Close to Skytrain. Close to Airport express line. Close to Jim Thompson's House. Close to Siam Paragon and other shopping hubs. If traveling by taxi and coming from the airport, the hotel's location actually allows the driver to get off at Rama ix road and thus avoid the traffic jam because of the toll booths. The hotel is the place to be by being next to the skytrain, close to the Central Palace area, shopping area, etc. Excellent location. If you are coming from airport , take the rail express and stop at Paya Thai station . Transfer to bts and vie Hotel is just one station away @ Ratchatewee station. Hotel is 50m fm the station. To go to Siam Paragon, is only 1 bts station away. Walking to mbk takes ard 5 mins. Nice Bangkok skyline view on high floor. Was upgraded to Grand deluxe room and it is big and comfortable . The living hall is good for 10 guest :). Hotel is located in Bangkokgs business district. You need to take a ride to the main monuments (except for Jim Thomsons house which is within walking distance). However, if you are focused on shopping the place is perfect. Food is marvellous. Staff is very helpful. We have our flight late at night, we left luggage in the hotel free of charge and we could take a shower in the hotel although we needed to check out. It was very helpful. The staff were excellent, even though I have listed luxury the price was great. Excellent service and breakfast was amazing :) They held our bags for last few hours before train, we had gone for a walk. Even though we were no longer residents we could shower and still enjoy some of the facilities. I would not hesitate to recommend Vie hotel Bangkok :). Every thing is good and the staff very friendly. I really like the architecture of the building. Not much things around the hotel, just a 7-eleven opp the road and a massage centre. Have to access by going up the overhead bridge of the BTS station, cannot cross over the road. The way to the skytrain has no escalator on the hotel's side; while the hotel across the road has direct access to the skytrain. It's a hassle when there are a lot of luggages that have to be haul up the steps. Otherwise, no complaints!. The room smelled with cigarettes. The evening buffet was not as good as we were expecting. The food was nice, but there was not a lot of variety when it got to the 'main' course. Although the design of the hotel is great it is a little shabby around the edges. A tooth brush should be a basic item added to the in-room amenities. When delivered, it was the first toothbrush that I have used that the bristles started coming off while brushing. It's the little things. - The view from our room was not very cool with many small baraks outside. Toilet glass door is rather heavy for lady. Internet cable not provided in room, have to go down to Conceirge to obtain one. Firstly, I find it a challenge to plug the hair dryer into the switch under the basin; thus, maybe the hotel can look to improve this inconvenience. Secondly, I hope the breakfast spread can improve as the varieties seem limited. Nothing. As everywhere in Bangkok the English of staff needs to be improved. Nothing. The thing i did'nt like is the fact that they put wooden panel in the widow so it's kind of hard to see outside but that about it! Oh yeah, if you go to the vie-bar be carefull with the nuts, They wasabi nuts!! Should tell when they give to you. The only thing I missed was an audio system in te room for ipod. Thats all. Slippery floor in the bathroom and doors open just with force, so be careful after shower. Hairdryer is low-power. No one Russian tv channel. We are waiting for half an hour on check-in. Location OK but not wonderful. Water very slow to run into the bath - but these were very small things. Air-com kept shutting off in the middle of the night, leaving us havin to wake up to turn it on again. Very!!Very expensive to dine in. Nothing. Doors in the bathroom are not easy to open. A little bit old furniture. We were unlucky with view - window was almost closed because of wooden shutters. Service is pathetically poor. It took 20 minutes to get my luggage to the room despite the fact I was the only one checking in. Check in was slow and disorganized. Breakfast was a shambles, slow service, conjealed food. In total a disaster. Exec chef told me that the staff turnover is v high. Well, that says a lot about the chaotic, unprofessional and incompetent management of this hotel. Don't blame the staff, blame the management and training!. More halal options at the buffet, there was a lot of pork and this isn't always the best food choice for muslims, jewish people and vegetarians. there is no electrical socket near the bed , so that we have to unplug one bedside light when charging my mobile phone. no shower gel n shampoo at the bath tub , have to take those fr shower room. The handheld shower cap was not powerful, water was running weak. Bar staff need training. Really slow service and lack of interest. Nothing to say. none！. little dirty in halls and a bit tired in the rooms. The soft pillow. The taxi driver who want flat fare. The distance to shopping. Nothing. In the aérea there are some bars but a litle old And dirty. The pool area: too few sunbeds and too small area. I have to leave soon for my trip but I,ll be back. Even though I love the decor, the hotel is starting to show a bit of age... Shame the check in time is 2 pm. We have to wait in the lounge for a few hours before we can gain access to the room, but we were upgraded as a result. So all is well. Pool too small. Internet very poor even not high speed.
