I've been here for the third time and I'll always choose to stay here. It's a very good location for shopping I must say. The staffs are nice. The room is beautifully designed and clean. Walking distance to Platinum Mall, Pantip Plaza and Pratunam Shopping Area is right outside the building which me and my friends really really adore. It is also near the Airport Rail Link and BTS. And they also serve a sumptuous breakfast meals everyday. I so love their Chicken Wings :).
all reviews » I stayed in the hotel for 6 days 5 nights. The overall experience is good till one bad experience happened on our last day. The hotel is located centrally and major shopping malls and shopper paradise are within walking distance that money is saved on transportation. Hotel is value for money as we are there to shop but not to spend time in hotel. We spend more time shopping than in hotel. Lots of eateries outside the hotel. I will stay again. I like this hotel as it near to the pratunam shopping mall and it is accessible to other shopping malls such as platinum mall, prantip mall, Central world mall. I would recommend this hotel to those shopping fanatics... Staff very friendly especially joy and sepet.. Cleanliness was fabulous. Period. Excellent location. 1-5 min walks, you'll get shopping, street food, Mc Donald, money exchange, 7eleven. Very value for money. Oh ya....don't dirty their towel, or else will be charged 50tb. Clean room. Perfect location if you are a shopaholic and main target is platinum mall which is just across the overhead bridge. 7-11 and mcd nearby. Easy to get a cab or tuk tuk. Will stay here again. Location is very excellent. 5 mins walk to Platinum Mall. Shopping heaven all around. Street food everywhere. 7-elevens down the street. Water pressure is excellent. Room was very clean, good location very near to Platinum Fashion Mall & Pratunam morning market, staff was very friendly & helpful. Value for the money. Room Lighting and air cond. is great! For breakfast - to add in a little bit of choices for muslim meals and food or separate meals for and international meals. The location is very strategic. The location is good if you want to buy cheap stuff because right next to it there is a wholesale market called Pathumwan market but honestly I didn't find anything nice! Platinum mall which also has cheap stuff is nearby! The rest of the malls look like they are close but to reach them we had to walk on main busy roads which is not very pleasant and is tiring!. Location was convenient as it is very near to platinum fashion mall and the alley beside is already pratunam market where you can a variety of cheap clothes.I Like that the room was clean and big.The hotel vicinity was also pretty safe and if we walked on further in theres a small road that lead to lots of small stalls of good food. The hotel is well located within the shopping district of Pratunam. Platinum mall is just 5 mins away with a connecting bridge that send you straight into the second floor. It's a simple hotel with no fancy facilities, just bed and breakfast. The room size is very big. Stayed Superior Room, clean and big. Great Location ! Local Food Stores,Whole Sales Stores, 7 Eleven, MC D are surrounding. Advice to book Room only. To Plantinium Mall only 200m across the road. The room is clean, and is fairly near to few wholesale mall. It is a good location if your purpose to BKK is to load stock. Most of the people stay there are merchant to load stock. The hotel location was definitely convenient,for shoppers as the whole sale market is just around the corner ,room were cleaned daily ,Breakfast is mostly the same menu everyday. - Bright simple decor - Sufficient space in the room - Many streetside stalls nearby to walk and see so location is interesting - About 5 minutes' walk to Platinum Mall. Don't ever make any sightseeing tour/ taxi at the booth outside the hotel. They are scam or ignorance. I have ask them to book taxi to airport on my last day in Bangkok. They actually direct the taxi drive to another airport that serve domestics traveller. I nearly missed my flight. Their sightseeing tour is also more expensive. There are some tour agency in Grand Diamond Hotel beside Plantium shopping mall that are price reasonably. There's nothing I dislike... Counter staff don't understand English. Room not tidied daily. Noisy in the morning. No hair dryer & kettle for customer. The shower head used is too big and not suitable with the water pressure available. Can't really have a good shower with the shower head. Luckily there is bidet provided with good water pressure. Not so sound proof as there is this free outdoor movie nights till 12mn during my stays. No go is you arr going with children. No kettle and hair dryer!. The cleaner is impolite and unrespect customer. The attitude is worse when my room was mess and they yelled in thailand language. That was make i feel unhappy with that. the bed and pillow is not conmfy. bed is hard. and pillow is just thin. Would suggest to provide more variety in breakfast buffet and not only fried rice. It is advisable that Hotel provide Fried Bihun , porridge and others as an option for breakfast. The door is not very much sound proof. You could hear a lot of noises from outside such as people knocking on the doors or talking outside the room. Firstly my room was near the lift and I could hear people talking while waiting the lift but it was good that they changed the room for me after I feedback. But the wall is quite sound proof, you couldn't hear noises from the adjacent rooms. rooms have no windows, so no outside view. None. The breakfast has limited choice, but it is ok for us. Unfortunatly no iron & iron board available. Unsure if due to communication error or no facilities as the staff barely speak English. I think it could be a bit cheaper. but to noiscy. Over crowded. reception is not too much friendly, check in cost too much time. taxi out side is not good. Mall closed too early. room is hot even if the aircon is on, probably due to the lights in the room. lift too small. Facilities. signboard not available from the main road. Breakfast. It's better if there are more varities for breakfast. I was really disappointed that we didn't have night stand lamps! We had to prepay our stay which happens to me for a first time! The breakfast was ok but the room it was in was very depressing, with covered windows!. We were asked to pay 10baht/min just to get them to help us contact our own taxi driver.Late checkout charged at 600baht.We booked a cab frm hotel floating market n was charged 1500baht for the taxi ride to the location.We tried asking how much was the tix but the tour guy said he didnt knw the price.At the place,we each had to pay 1500baht for the admission boat ride.Afterwhich we spoke to another cab driver and realised we had been ripped off as there were cheaper tix. The room has a foul smell even after we have left the window open for some time. The corridor floors are tiled not carpeted, so it's noisy when people are dragging their luggage bag across. Breakfast variety simple and same for all the day. Staff attitude not so friendly. No hot kettle provided unless request. But due to great location still recommended. No hair dryer, the provided FOC water tasted weird, bed was uncomfortable, soundproof was bad, but luckily, it was quiet at night. Far away from BTS, walk for long distance to get BTS. Some guests were noisy early morning and this was one of my complaints. - Breakfast too plain & simple, but considering the price of the room, it's understandable I suppose - Location in the small road can be a bit difficult to find - No hair dryers. I don't like the staff.. It took a long time for check-in.. The staff not really friendly and they're work too slowly. - No Hair dryer provided, I mean the whole hotel do not have this facilities. - Only one key provided. if your friend bring the key, then you can only call the room service open the room for you, and at last, you can open the room with no electric. - too far from BTS. i mean real FAR. Exhaust fan of the room was not working and these didnt change the same on request. Shower water pressure very small, don't enjoy hot shower after one tiring day. Single bed is very small & hard No auto access room door , main power.. very inconvenient Noisy when neighbour close the door. No kettle or ironing board in the room. Stiff beds. Noisy hotel. Maids clearing the empty glass water bottles from midnight till dawn..can't sleep!. No kettle in the room for making early morning coffee. Bath room could be in better condition. poor bathroom drainage. The breakfast is really no good. Wifi room is bad. Very frustating Staff not friendly. I don't know that I didnt got breakfast . So i should have to pay more for it. Noisy . No facilities No kettle at the room. No safety licker in the room No clothes locker in the room Very bad entrance and bad smell.
