This family-owned boutique hotel is just next to Bumrungrad Hospital, about 650 metres from Ploen Chit BTS Skytrain Station. Via the Skytrain, it is a 5-minute journey to shopping at Central World Plaza and Siam Paragon. Som Sen Spa provides relaxing body massage and a small fitness room. The elegant library is decorated with local artwork and is a casual place for guests to read or mingle. Na Aroon Restaurant serves a healthy selection of vegetarian and seafood dishes. It also offers room service from 07.00-22.00 hrs.

all reviews » I was looking for a small, personal hotel with historical character, and I found it! A beautiful oasis of calm and greenery where you can forget the mad traffic in the city. The owner and his staff were delightful and eager to assist. They gave their own personal recommendations for city travel and places to visit, and these turned out to be excellent. The hotel restaurant offers an outstanding range of tempting dishes - worth a visit just for a meal, even if you don't stay there. Try the fresh. This is our 3rd time at Ariyasom and we specifically dropped into Bangkok for 2 days as we are heading to Africa to live and do not know when we will be back! We had adjoining rooms with a suite for us overlooking the pool. It was good to see David and his staff again and they looked after us superbly yet again. We hiccuped once on a stay in Bangkok where we went to a large, glamorous, corporate hotel. Never again - Ariyasom is our favourite hotel in the world. It was beautiful, an oasis in the middle of crazy Bangkok. The staff was incredibly attentive and the manager David was always there to make sure all is well and everyone is happy. The lady at the front desk actually printed a map for the taxi of the place we are going to because it was hard to get to...we enjoyed out stay there very much and we hopefully will be able to go back.. Only the fact that the light in the corridor shines through the frosted windows over the door and bathroom. This, unfortunately, illuminates the bedroom a fair bit at night. No big-time shopping nearby, which might not suit everyone, but was excellent for me. You have to walk 10 min to the Sky Train to reach other parts of the city, but even this is a pleasure, when it's not raining. Compared to previous stays, food portions were smaller. Still delicious though!. Nothing..all was good. A small point, you hear the boats from the canal right next to the hotel. But I must say, this did not bother us. Also, on some occasions there were mosquitos when having breakfast/diner outside. But again this is not very strange being in Bangkok in a leavy garden. Again this was not an issue for us. The location is a bit off the beaten track, although close to the MRT so no real issue. Just one negative and it's not that big a deal but the lighting in the room was dull. There were a lot of lights but not one that was bright enough to read a map by. There were bed lights, wall lights and table lights but it just needed one bright light, one that you could see clearly by. Wi-Fi would sometimes go in and out. Also our room had mosquitoes (not at other hotels I stayed at in Thailand), it was probably because of the hotel being right next to the river. Still water attracts them but they bit up my legs. Would come back if they guaranteed to de-bug. Nothing - there was nothing not to like!. A little out of the way. Will be back. We enjoy vegetarian food but would prefer it to be 'true veggie' rather than 'meat substitutes'. Hard bed. nothing on this list. nothing. Wifi did not work in my room, had to sit outside in the area with no air conditioning. Breakfast was nice, but there we almost no fruits. Hotel is quite far from the city center, about 30 -40 minutes by taxi or tuk tuk. But on the way to the airport. Traffic on only access road. There should be information in the room re hotel facilities ,ie room service drinks ,food ,with prices .telephone and tv information. Etc . Foodwas not good ,at breakfast ,my wife and I ordered eggs Benedict.which was inedible .It had been baked in an oven the eggs were hard the hollandaise was hard saute potatoes were soggy. My croissant was soggy. At dinner I ordered fried fish cakes which were also inedible they were like rubber and had little taste .
