The rooms are wonderfully furnished with a very simple and fresh style. everything is new and extremely clean and fresh. It has a swiss feel with a very modern twist. The bar at the lobby is very causy and friendly and lovely place to relax for a drink between outings or at night after a long day. The breakfast has good choices and very fresh. all reviews » The hotel is from 2009, and you can see the modern style. It is warm and inviting, a lot of wood is used. The hotel is small, but very cosy. Very friendly staff, very helpful. Some rooms have a balcony, which provide an excellent viewing point to see the Matterhorn. The room was not luxurious, but simple, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was more than satisfying. No wifi in the rooms, just in the lounge, which was really cosy. It had an open fireplace in the center, perfectly to spend an ev. This is the best hotel in my 3 weeks honeymoon trip in euro. The hotel is really clean and tidy. I stayed in the best delux room in the hotel and I enjoyed the 180° matterhorn view from my bed. So I could easily catch the "magical golden matterhorn" moment in the morning. Moreover, the staff is so friendly and helpful. I found my electrical adaptor not working , the frontdesk lady immediately solved the problem. The breakfast is really good, there are so many choices offered. I really loved it!. Very well situated, 10 minutes walking from the train station ( 3 min by taxi), hotel Phoenix has a great view overlooking the Matterhorn. A small misunderstanding at check in delayed us with 15 minutes, till the receptionist confirmed the extra bed for my son. Quite good breakfast selection, but no fresh vegetables and fresh fruits. Breakfast was a little restrictive in choice and we found the bed, uncomfortable. nothing at all. The duvet and bedding was extremely hot for the summer, I have to say though that it was amazingly comfortable. Little far from Zermatt statin best take taxi or call the hotel to pick up. It is very usual here in Europe to join two single beds and make it a matrimonial... Don't like it.
