  Staff was excellent. Made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, until we got in the car to leave. Rooms are very nice. Food was great. Hiking opportunities are virtually unlimited - as beautiful an area as one can imagine. - this is the second time for me to stay at this very beautifull hotel with excellent staff personel. if i go back ... what people say » to interlaken, i will surly reserve in this hotel really,, I stayed 4 relaxing days inside this area.

  The owners of Axalp Mr.Peter and his family are the best part for choosing this mountaintop,nature friendly hotel.we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.We cooked everyday here .and can surely say that one can not find any better equipped hotel kitchen than this.Our kids loved this log house feel of the hotel. Mr. Peter and his family are great host... what people say » s and he can help you make the most of your trip.The amazing Geissbach falls are only at 10 min driving distance from the hotel and the beautiful lake - We stayed for 5 nights at Barghuus Axalp and had a woderful time. Peter and Michaela are great hosts and this place is true value for money. Not luxurious but clean, comfortable bunk beds, decent bathroom and common facility to cook eg. A microwave, a fridge, owners shop nearby with most of things you might need. Excellant surroundings to feel the swiss hill village life. There are not many people as most houses are holiday homes. Peter loves to talk and is a great company. Happy that we chose

  I never before had met with such a warm and caring welcome, as if returning to your family. The room was big, really cozy in a rustical style and the balcony gave a great view to lake Brienz and the surrounding mountains. Very spacious room, with traditional decoration. Tea and coffee making facilities were also provided. Wonderful views over Lake Brienz and steam railway. Excellent WiFi connection. Breakfast simple but adequate. Host was very friendly and helpful. Located in a quiet residential area, ten minutes uphill walk from train station.
