The hotel was great and they were helpful in upgrading my room for a charge, which I didn't mind. Very friendly staff, who tried to do their best. great location,kind stuff,nice beach,resturant with great view to ocean,room with nice view,kind reception stuff. service is good.some staff person are very friendly(restaurant staff & pool attendant) rooms are clean. At the time of check-in the room was clean, change of bed was carried through the day A balcony friendly staff. It was always a problem to resolve anything easily with just a conversation and rational explanation. The staff seemed to be stuck by the system in the computer, and couldn't change anything easily. air condition in my room was noisy.even in LOW mode it still makes noise more than normal. in dinner buffet there were no variations.when we booking via internet there were no bb basis or room only.when our check in time hotel inform us to there is a free breakfast also,when we are in out side someone who working in your staff open our room with out inform us.when we enter to our room he also in the room and he shocked.it is disturb for our privacy. No kids play area. A bit noisy with the Main Street at the back of the hotel and the surf on the other side. didn't have a business centre. Nothing. All stuff was in dirty uniform. Firstly we checked in to ugly room as cupboard. Next day we were moved to another room which was declared. As i understand it is normal practice for this hotel. Before departure i assisted as translator to Russian tourists to get booked rooms not what whey got for first night. We compared costs in Hikkaduwa and were disappointed of our rate. In the closest hotels rate were less when our for lux rooms in 50% as minimum(we got standard room). First offered room was awful, but we were askes if we like it - of course we didn't and room was replaced for similar one, but in better condition. Kettle in the room smells plastic. At check out they were tried to charge us $50 more then was booked through letsbookhotel.com always check your bill and have printout from letsbookhotel.com with you!. Poor Front Office staff Poor Reservation staff & communication. Can't swim in the sea. Restricted. The seaside in front of the hotel area aren't for summing. In the bathroom twice found rather large cockroaches and lizards in the room No beach Two days before the check out I asked to confirm the payment, they gave me bill for 1250$ instead 950$ and said that my booking doesn't include taxes. They admitted their mistake without any apologises only after call to letsbookhotel.com No help with carrying luggage to taxi.
