  Balcón de Válor is on the edge of one of the many villages of the Alpujarras which makes it an excellent base to visit the region. We stayed in an apartment for two which was well equipped and comfortable and everything was clean. There were several additional facilities, swimming pool, outside bar-b-que, which make it an ideal choice for a weeke... what people say » nd of walking and relaxing.

  Mary is a fantastic hostess - so friendly, welcoming and relaxed that you felt like one of the family. The room was very clean and comfortable and the ambience was one of friendly relaxation. The swimming pool, with poolside bar, was a real bonus and the views were to die for. Breakfast was varied and ample - either full continental with hams and ... what people say » cheeses or an English cooked breakfast. Evening meals of tasty, simple home-cooked fare, using home-grown produce, are available at very reasonable co - A fabulous hotel in a lovely location yet only a couple of miles from the bars, restaurants etc. My room was very clean, tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Mary is a fantastic host who really went out of her way to make my holiday first class. If anyone is visiting the Alpujarras and is looking for a wonderful place to stay it has to be Casa La Ladera.
