Probably everything: great location (next to a really beautiful palace in the heart of Valencia), very nice staff, comfortable rooms, and great view. Friendlyness / efficiency of staff, very nice room (although make apoint of asking for one with the balcony doors), stunning location. Great location, beautiful building and very helpful staff. Do not go to the new part of the city, you will be disappointed. The hotel is right in the old city and a perfect place to go to the new city (museum) and the port. Staff are generally very friendly and helpful. Quality of food in dining room is good. View of doorway to ceramic museum next door is stunning. The christmas crib was beautiful. It was very centrally located to all amenities, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and there was a good variety of food to choose from. The only thing that comes to my mind is the TV channel Eurosport that wasn't available, though listed. It was a small minus cause it was the Olympic games period. Slight drainage smell in the foyet/reception, very expensive if youwanted full television channels. Cant fault it for anything else.Rather noisy on a Sat night, even though I closed all my windows, I can still hear the locals talking outside the hotel until 6am on Sunday!!. Our room was a bit noisy (even though the cleaning ladies were tying their best to be silent in the morning). We were given inaccurate information about times for breakfasts and availability of dinner on new years eve. Breakfast was good but provision of cerials was limited. It was very clean but there was a smell that was not very pleasant.Maybe from the carpets in the floor or the cleaning materials.Generally helpfull and friendly staff, but those on duty during breakfast were of little help. Simple things, ie water for tea, would run out and weren't replaced untill requested by a guest. the room was a bit dark since the window was closely facing the opposite wall. Did want a double bed and requested on e-mail but not obliged, probably needed to remind when booking in. Water could have been hotter! Tea/coffee facilities in room would be good.there was a bad smell in the lobby. i bought an internet card and nobody told me the 30 minutes had to be used at once, not over 3 days of my stay. they need to tell their guests this information. Hotel checked my debit card prior to arrival. So, they debited myaccount by €100 and re-credited the amount the same day. Because of thedifference with buy and sell exchange rates, I lost £5 from account fornothing! The hotel will not refund nor will the bank, therefore thecustomer yet again suffers! This practice is unacceptale! Hotel shouldascertain if good for money and not physically take. Smell of drains. Some of the breakfast staff did not seem to be morning people.rooms configuration. Our room was extremely small and not very comfortable.
