Extra long bathtub (I'm tall), excellent sheets and pillows, towel warmer (great for drying damp clothes), and location (close enough to walk to the cathedral and the lively street next to the Pilgrim Office) in the central old part). Hearty breakfasts with yogurt, cereal, and lots of fresh fruits to choose from along with traditional tostada, cheese, ham and cafe con leche. The room is nicely designed, with beautiful double-panelled windows, interesting royal sun design on ceiling, carbed stone wall in bathroom. Bird on ledge next to bathroom was a great touch! Bathroom has a warm, aesthetic feel. Overlooks main entry way for pilgrims on Camino de Santiago. Decent breakfast offered. Friendly staff--speak Spanish and French, some English.
all reviews » The room was just a perfect size and the double doors leading out to the balcony allowed for fresh air and the atmosphere into the room. I loved this place! I had a double room for single occupancy which was super value considering we only booked the night before.... I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff were so helpful and the cafe attached had reasonable food. It was within easy reach of the Cathedral and other parts of the centre of Santiago and I consider I was most fortunatel in finding it. I strongly recommend this hotel. The location is perfect and it is really close to the cathedral. The interior design of the room has fascinated us; it was very compact and modern. The room was also very clean and the reception was very very helpful despite not speaking English;). This is a hidden secret! It is an outstanding place with incredible customer service! Typical of Spanish hotel rooms, cold tile feeling unmitigated by softening rugs or artwork. Seats in dining area are uncomfortable. It's like they don't want people to stay long. I had to strain myself to come up with something, but here it is: one morning I woke up to the sound of the traffic light on a nearby street corner. Ghastly, I know. The room was quite dark and several items were broken (light fixtures, floor strip at entrance to the bathroom) but these were very minor things. The noise from outside, but the double windows closed out the noise but made the room hot. Although the view from the room was nice and the room itself well decorated and contemporary, it was a little on the small side. Room a little on the small side. Nothing. Breakfast was very hectic as each meal had to be individualy prepared and there was not enough help. Also arrival by car was difficult. the breakfast. soundproofing is not so good when there is noisy neighbor. I wish I could figure out how to keep the roof windows open. I would like to have beforehand information regarding the possibilities of parking, because hotel is in pedestrian zone. it is impossible to sleep at night, the noise in the street is unbearable...
