very quiet..that was probably due to the fact that there was only 4 other sets of guests staying at the time.! Did get busier towards end of holiday,so was more noisy then. we loved staying at this hotel - the vast spread for breakfast was excellent, the swimming pool and adjoining bar were wonderful, and the foyer, dining rooms and leisure facilities were spacious and modern, colourful and beautifully laid out. Would definitely go back.

Hotel information details

The hotel offers free sports facilities such as a heated swimming pool (only in low season), a fitness centre, squash and tennis court, mini-golf, petanque and ping pong. The hotel is declared as a space without smoke. Althought the smokers can smoke in the outdoors, the bar of the swimming pool and on the terrace of the rooms. Sauna and jacuzzi is available at additional cost. The use of the sport facilities is not charged.

The hotel is located in a privileged place surrounded by two natural parks: "El Cap de Creus" and "Los Aiguamolls de l'Emporda". Only 18 km from the Dalí Museum in Figueras, 17 km from Cadaques and 51 km from the Medas Islands.

This fortress was constructed in 1543. The town hall was located behind its walls until the nineteenth century. The church of Santa Maria de Roses is one of the peninsula's first examples of Romanesque art.

Travelling information

To reach the Hotel San Carlos, take exit 3 if you're coming from France or exit 4 if you're coming from Barcelona. Follow the Nacional II, until you reach the Roses crossing on the highway C260. Continue on this highway for 17 km.
Once you get to Roses, you will reach a roundabout where you have to follow the signs for Cadaques. After 2 km you will reach Mas Busca: this is where we are located.
