  Palacio Chaves is not excactly a hotel, it is a medieval palace where you are a guest rather than a client or customer. You may enjoy an extensive library with old books and magazines, launge with convenient armchairs and good paintings (old and modern) or a garden with stunning view over the roofs of old Trujillo. We can't imagine a better place to experience the atmosphere of this old spanish town. - Great inside and out, book-lined walls everywhere, comfortable couches, high, beamed ceilings, the whole place is full of character and peaceful, day & night. In Room 5, from one window we could see mountains in the far distance and from another window, lovely garden views and ancient buildings. A very comfortable, spacious and private sitting room adjoined our bedroom. Great location, right in the heart of the old town, a few minutes walk from the Plaza Mayor.
