Very Nice clean hotel with friendly and effecient staff. Example:The fridge was noicy, and 15 minutes after mentioning it to the receptionist, it was changed. Not possible to reserve sunbeds made it possible for "normal people" to choose location. Very good restaurant, splendid breakfast buffet. The Animation staff was excellent with the children. Free pool-towels. Comfortable sunbeds. All in all a very pleasant experience.

In the bedroom it was not a problem. there was nothing i didnt like,. Very uncomfortable beds. more foreign than english speaking people staying there,not really a complaint. Terrible noise of music at night from the hotel's bar in the yard. Lack of free wifi, no dvd player. Double bed- was two singles pushed together very uncomfortable. 2 separate beds no free WiFi (everywhere else available in Playa del Ingles). distance from beach. Nothing. Wifi connection was really poor. Although free, impossible to connect successfully (there was over 10 wifi points to connect to and they were all really bad) with the price that I paid for a week's stay I would think the hotel would have a better wifi service... This is the only bad point about Sol Barbacan... Would def go back though!. It is in the center of Maspalomas which has quite a bit of traffic noise which cannot be managed without closing all the windows. Internet charges are ridiculous in this day and age as are the charges for the in-room safety deposit box. Very petty, trivial and stupid... Wifi worked only in reception hall. There were not any entertainment for young people at all, only few pool tables. Breakfast was average. No double bed, all sunbeds with towels on contrary to hotel policy.
