Wonderful place. Large complex, beautifully laid out with lovely gardens, three very attractive swimming pools and views of sea. Staff very pleasant and helpful, restaurant and bar fairly priced, accommodation comfortable, attractive and with welcomed privacy provided by a lovely walled garden with patio and small lawn. Liked satellite TV, flowers/books in room, Cava in fridge. Great place!.
all reviews » it was absolutely lovely, the receptionist upgraded us to a 2 bed apartment with the most fantastic view, the whole place was fantastic, the gardens, the pools, i will be going back, the whole complex is really well laid out, with 3 separate pool areas, it is on a steep hill, but so is the whole of nerja,. We really enjoyed our stay here. Our apartment was spacious, comfortable and ideal for anyone on a short or extended stay. We found it quiet and relaxing. Easy to get to and from town. We would definitely stay here again!. The staff was really friendly and the location is great. Very helpful staff. Very nice rooms and surroundings. views, peace, choice of restaurants, friendliness. environment was nice . The villas are clean, reasonably priced. Additionally Nerja has few high rises. The look and feel of the place is wonderful - small white stuccoed houses among palm trees and other sub-tropical flora. The accommodation, although not that close to the town and the famous Balcon area, is easy driving distance and parking downtown is easy.Convenient bus service every 1/2 hour. Kitchen reasonably well equipped. Beautiful landscaping. Nice change from hotel stay. Able to eat in for breakfast, lunch etc. Outdoor patio. Laundry and restaurant. The staff were very helpfull throughout our stay we didnt have a car and the receptionist changed our alocated property so we were nearer the town as it is a large complex and had steep hills. Very nice, friendly staff. Hotel is in a very quiet area, all you can hear are birds.The apartment had good equipment-tv, iron etc.and was really clean-everything looked like new. Relaxing yet not too far from the action either.The weather, accommodation was excellent value. open spaces. picturesque surroundings. Clean and well kept. we got all house with two sleeping rooms, two bathrooms, so we really liked it. and... there were almoust everything inside, what u need: grill, plates,tv,books... even an umbrella for beach. The grounds are very attractive with numerous pools. The apartment was spacious and we had a large private balcony which was a nice place to relax.The views from the top of the El Capistrano Sur (San Juan) were well worth the walk. It offers plenty of space with the lovely terrace overlooking the sea. The weather and the staff who were very kind. In fact we had a kettle which was leaking and they replaced it straight away by going out and buying a new one. The place where the apartments are is beautiful and well looked after,as well as whole Nerja, the staff are very helpful and friendly andspeak good English. the apartment we got had a great roof top terrace aswell as a large balcony with sea views. Near city center, near public roads and well maintained surroundings.rooms and pools are very nice and a lot of service on the site. It was very quiet and peaceful. we were on honeymoon. sea views. privacy. We were 13 people, 8 adults and 5 children.We had nice appartments,and enjoyed our stay.ambience and peaceful surroundings. Only suggestions are that an emergency number for out-of-hours contact would be useful - even if only for real emergency (ambulance etc). Oh, and leaving household stuff like dish soap, kitchen paper etc would be appreciated, although there is a store very nearby. the only negative thing was there seemed to be oportunist theves around as we had one call at our door make sure that even when in your villa or appartment you lock your doors on entering even if you are on balcony we did report the incident and reception alerted the site security I dont think this is purely at the complex it is prelevant all over spain. Limited restaurants/bar. Restricted check in times. no sundecks at the upper swimming pool (didn't go to the other one) - off-season. The website said it was an aveerage 10 minute walk from the centre of Nerja but in fact it was at least 30 min to the main square.As the apartment was at the top of the hill.... Once an hour bus route that ended too early in the evening. As a young couple we were okay with that, but for an older couple it would mean getting cabs which could become quite costly. So it should be mentioned within the hotel spec that some of the apartments are on a very high hill. The only thing that we found inconvenient and having been up since 03.00 was reception was closed when we arrived at 12.55 and we had to drive round with our luggage until 16.00 when it re-opened.No kettle in the apartment (however, it may well be that we would getone if we asked), the apartment wasn't extremely clean, but was okfor the price. the website said that the hotel was 1.1k from nerja but this was untrue in relation to our apartment. the enterance of the complex may have been 1.1k but where we were situated was approx 2.5k UPHILL. we usually walked to the town but apart from twice in almost 2 weeks we always got a taxi or bus back. Also the bus service is overpriced and unreliable.no air cond., far from the airport if you don't have a car (70E to 95E by taxi). not enough close parking, for people with walking difficulties. No dish soap in kitchenette; no towels at pool. Maybe some maintenance of windowslocks and shower equipment could have been better.the rat on my way to our room. it was very cold, and the heaters supplies were inadequate, especially as there were a limited amount of "power points" to facilitate heaters and watching tv at the same time. Positioning of smaller volt power points for lamps etc. It was very draughty, with doors and windows ill fitting. The people in Spain do not always speak in English, that's the slight problem. The cleaning services could be improved. The apartment was very old fashioned unlike the pictures on the website.Also no air-conditioning or fans which at 35degrees makes it difficultto sleep. You also have to pay 2.5 euros for a sunbed at the pool eventhough you are a resident. The bathroom was small and rather unpleasant. kichen of villa was terrible dirty, in villa was ants evrywehere,. Furnitures are a little bit out of date + apartment was not spotless. In fact, this is not an hotel. It is just a bunch of appartment. There is none of the services that one could expect.We had a double room, it was very run down and not too clean, the smelled of musk and smoke. Part of our group (4people) had a very nice place. It had an adjoining door with next apartment. The residents there came in at 1.00am and talked loudly for 2 hours. I asked them to be quiet but they continued. They had children with them.When I made the booking I asked for an apartment with great view, but we got an apartment with garden and 2 meter high walls. We couldn´t see anything at all but walls. The fane (ventilation) was broken, and we gave you the information about this, but didn´t get another one. When there is no aircondition, there is a need for the fane, so it was some very hot and sleepless nights, we got. .
