- Location was perfect. Right in the middle of the centre. You can see almost all attractions by walking. Many shops around, many restaurants and food options. Make sure you explore the neighborhood before you decide where to get you meal. This place is near 2 underground stations, but we never needed to use the underground. - The staff was very helpful and pleasant. They also let us leave our suitcases after check out until very late (11pm) - Price is great for what you get. We paid about 35eu.
all reviews » Very good location in the city center, between Sol and Sevilla metro stations. When checking in I got keys to the room and front door, which was very convinient, because in other hostels sometimes you dont get the keys and have to leave them at the reception desk every time you get out (which is something which I really do not like in other hostels). staff is really friendly and helpful. the hostel is located in a very noisy neighborhood, but due to all windows overlooking the interior is very quiet. beds are really comfortable. everything is really simple and shabby, but this is exactly a value-for-money case. best place in the very center of Madrid, perfect for a sound night sleep. Great location! Just in the middle of everything and walking distance to all the major atractions. Big comfortable bed and not noisy (but, we stayed in room number 11, which is located in the internal part of the building, be sure to select that room or other similar in order to avoid the noise from the street). San Isidro is a very nice hotel...really good location, 3 min walking from Puerta del Sol Square, a lot of bars and clubs around...our room was small,but comfortable and very clean... good wifi connection in room, safe in the room... we had our own bathroom with hairdryer....so, value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and adequate. Close to all aspects of Madrid - smart restaurants, the art galleries, shopping streets, and the general life of Madrid. The double glazing and the facts that it was on a pleasant side-street meant that it was quiet. Excellent location, near the Sol and Sevilla metro stations. It is good location from city. - No elevator, but it is not a problem since it is on the 2nd floor - The hostel seems small, nothing much to do inside. But why would you stay inside when you have so many places to explore? :) - The street is quite noisy and all the area is full of people, sometimes even very late at night. Our room was right over the street, but if you close all windows, you can not hear the noises. On the other hand, might be a problem for the ones sleeping with open windows. Everything was perfect :). You need to pay one euro each time you used the safe box inside the room. everything was good...but it was a bit difficult to open doors, with key... Would have preferred a double bed room (as booked) but something went wrong - however, we were given a large 3-bedded room. Light in the sign outside was off, so we did pass it when trying to find it in the dark. No bar soap on the shower, I had to use the same liquid hand soap from the sink which was not nice. Toiletries could be better. The lightning in the room could be better. None. It is really noisy (downside of a good location!) and the room stank of cigarettes so you couldn't close the windows. There was no refrigirator in the room, but we knew about it, so it's ok. Nothing. Unreliable regulation of tap water temperature. Do not have an elevator. Carece de ascensor. Cost of parking at a public facility. No fridge in room. Staff was a little distant / chilly. nothing. It is in a second floor and has not elevator. Felt like staying at my grandmum's place. We were lucky enough to stay only one night. I could hear sexsual voice from the next door clearly. Oh my god. And very nosy outside. So many people were on the street in front our hotel, they spoke loudly until 4 am.
