This is a very nice hostel situated in the very city center right between old and morern parts. It's very cozy and clean. By the way, it's very well connected by metro (Opera) with all city since this station is a hub for many metro lines. Central location, most staff could speak english, lovely art works in room and corridors, excellent value. Everything was fine. Very complete services for this price and class of hotel. Excellent central location in order to walk around and til the main touristic attractions..

The only downfall - walls a really made of cardboard - audibility is better than one would want. The price and location were great. Great location... right near the Opera House and Opera metro stop. Also a short walk to Gran Via. I booked a room with shared bathroom but actually had a private bathroom when I arrived... very nice surprise!. The location, the building and the reception. Staff. There were beautiful paintings in the hallways and in the rooms. It was conveniently located close to a metro station and it had an elevator. Hotel was clean and central and was in good condition. Staff were helpful and friendly.Its location was excellent and though the room was small it was good value. I stayed for only one night, it's difficult to avaliate. There can be carpet ın the corrıdors for noısy foot steps at nıght..difficult to cary luggges. unfortunately, it is extrememly loud. madridians like to party all night!. When you leave your room you have to hand in your key and then wait for someone to let you in each time you return, it was somewhat annoying. Noise. room size. Our room was very small, even though we booked a room for three. Our room was more like a room for two with an extra bed.Cleaning agent they are using is very strong and the room smells after cleaning. Gran Duque's own website advertised the cost of a single room as €35 per night but advertised on letsbookhotel.com as €42. Hotel could be very loud.Wi-fi didn't work in my room although it was supposed to;the room wassuper tiny;i could hardly move not to mention hanging clothes in the"wardrobe";some of the staff didn't speak a word of English (not even"check-in","luggage","cleaning"),which lead to numerousmisunderstanding(a lady banging on my door every DAY,no-one knows whatfor);the room had an interior view of the courtyard -depressing!.
