Everything was great: the staff was very friendly and helpful (even they didn't spoke English), our chamber was very clean and it had even a little fireplace, which was very nice. excellent location - near to metro, convenient for airport, many eating opportunities nearby.This is a very nice hotel. Really close to a metro station, and not far from the main tourist attractions in Madrid. Excellent value for money: a really good room, with AC, and even a frigobar.

Barbara, which is like a small park with trees, a rare find near the centre of Madrid.The location was perfect. The staff is nice and helpful, and the room was very clean. Perfect if you just want a base to explore Madrid. Good value for money.Although staff didn´t speak English, they tried their best to help. The hotel is also in a good location, and a block away from a metro stop. The location of the hostal was ideal, far enough from the centre to give it a local feel but close enough to walk. The biggest problem here is finding it and then parking your car. If you have a car, choose a hotel on the outskirts and take the metro. Quite a noisy location, plus our preference as to airconditioning was partially neglected (as to one of the two rooms we booked). taff of the hostal was not friendly enough. difficult to find,you need to look up to see the sign. the drains did smell a bit but that's not uncommon in old building in Madrid.Reception staff took 20 minutes to book us in when we arrived. staff did not speak one word English (only Spanish). small bed for two people. Staff didn't speek a word of English and they didn't have my reservation in their system when I arrived (and I didn't have a printed confirmation). WiFi connection is there, but even though I'm quite experienced user, I didn't managed to connect (it is secured and I don't think that the receptionist gave me the right instructions...). nothing to complain. difficulties with the heating in the room. simple building, but to be expected. just what i thought it would be like, so it was okay.staff not speaking english, small room. A better staff. we were asked to leave the room at 11:30, even the check-out time is 12, because they "have to clean the room for the next guests". Lady at the reception could not speak English. i did not like the hostal at all. the room is too small , too noisy .
