“Stylish bargain” 5 of 5 starsReviewed 3 weeks ago This is our second time in a Vincci hotel, We have been visiting cities in Andalusia and liked the Vincci La Rabida in Seville, which was a traditional old style establishment so thought we would compare it with one of their modern offerings. Vincci have two hotels in Granada and we plumped for the Albayzin because it had an inclusive parking offer and is also centrally located. Our room looked out onto a tree lined avenue with a tiled central .
all reviews » We were there for 2 nights and the hotel was excellent .The car was parked for me and was outside waiting when we were checking out.In a lovely area with lots of bars and restaurants close by and a 20 minute walk to the Alhambra following the hotels directions,NOT Googles. As the Alhambra overlooks the city, if you do not like walking then public transport etc is advisable as it is quite hilly for the last half of the walk and would not suit every body.As we only used the hotel as a base and we. A lovely hotel near all the sites. We were here for 3 nights and it was great. Our room was small, as to be expected in Europe. The bed was super comfortable with soft sheets. The bathroom is clad in marble and spotless. Our room was very quiet at night. Noisy in the morning, but only as the building across the street was undergoing renovations. We ate at their restaurant twice and I had the best rabbit dish ever! The service is great. The only problem is their stereo system has an annoying hig. A gem of a hotel! Cool, calm interior and lovely rooms/bathrooms. The patio restaurant is a gorgeous place to relax and have a drink or meal. Staff are very courteous and helpful. Location is great, right on a leafy boulevard that leads you to the centre of town and all the things you may want to see. Granada as a whole is a fabulous place, full of colour and personality, and we had the best possible time during our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel. If you want to enjoy a peaceful . I love this hotel. The staff were honest and well informed. The service was excellent. I can't think in a negative aspect for the hotel. When I booked the hotel I didn't take it with breakfast, big mistake! It was fantastic exquisite. Thanks a lot. I do only have recommendation: I think that Granada, a beautiful, rich in culture European city should improved their recycling sistem, maybe this wonderful hotel could be a pioner in this matter. This is an excellent hotel. Very good facilities, good breakfast and extremely helpful, friendly staff. Unlike some other reviewers we found no problem locating the hotel with satnav and your car is parked for you in their underground car park. It is 15 minutes walk through pleasant streets to the town centre and another 15 minutes walk to the Alhambra. We unreservedly recommend it to others. The hotel was recently renovated, all facilities are top standard. The room was wonderful, top furnitures, huge bathroom with a big marble shower. The breakfast/restaurant hall is amazing! Breakfast costs only 13€ pp. and is very good and with a huge choice (except for the orange juice, really terrible!). All staff was nice. The location is the best to visit Granada by foot. The staff is amazingly friendly, very accommodating with customers' needs. All super clean, nicely furnished. The restaurant serves very good food, especially meat and typical Andalusian dishes (maybe fish is not always the best option). Breakfast buffet very far beyond decent. We also liked the location which was convenient not only for the city centre but also the Science Park which was about 15 minutes walk away. We did not visit the Alhambra having done so on several other occasions but the city has much to offer other than this famous site. Great rooms, very modern and super clean. Stopped for early evening drink in bar to receive gorgeous tapas (2) on house and lovely wine which cost less than even the side street cafes, we were amazed.!. The location was perfect for looking around the city, there is a department store next to the hotel .the staff were very helpful in obtaining tickets for the Alhambra which is a must see visit, cost 47euros each cheaper than online. We ate in twice, once in the restaurant and once in the bar, both times the service and food was excellent. The location of the hotel is very central. 5 minutes distant by walking from the city center and 10 minutes distant by taxi from Alhambra. Our room was big enough, clean and very comfortable. Its bathroom was very nice too. We got free wifi in the room. The hotel staff were helpful. Besides, the breakfast was varied and delicious. I can recommend this hotel. Definitely value for money. The flair was moorish and unlike any other place I've stayed. It was very comfortable, in a good location and the staff was warm and friendly. Excellent hotel. A well appointed 4 star that lives up to its name, which is to say, everything was crisp, clean, new... Not the tired, worn look of someof the other hotels that we have stayed at that purport to be 4 star. Would definitely stay again. The rooms in this hotel was very clean, comfortable, and modern. The stay was fabulous and a very good four star hotel. It takes about 10-20 mins to walk to Alhambra bus station and 5-10 to shopping Main Street(they are on the way). Staff very helpful, the hotel parking is worth every euro car parked in secure parking and delivered to hotel front with no extra cost late on departure day within five minutes of us returning and asking for it at no extra cost. If going by car, definitely reserve their garage as Granada is a complicated city drive and park. The location of the hotel was very good. Close to the cathedral and the nice little restaurants. The comfort and luxury of the hotel were great. The dining room courtyard and reception was excellent, the beds comfortable, and the location excellent for local restaurants such as Tinta Fina. Some guests have complained about noise from surrounding rooms.As the floors in Spain are marble and some guests do not consider this and drag chairs etc around, this is unavoidable.Also the sound of water being used for toilets and showers is the same as in your own home but maybe earlier in the morning due to guests leaving the hotel ,which has put a limit on the tv volume control so they are doing their part but cannot control the guests.We had no problem. Nothing - it was all fab!. If you have sleeping problems, ask to have a room facing the courtyard else you will be disturbed by idiots screaming in the middle of the night (not a hotel fault in any case). Nothing much. Maybe the size of some rooms is smaller than on the pics.. the fact that they shut off the aircon each night from 8 pm till morning is ridiculous in my opinion. we were there earlier this month and it was hot in the nights. the shutting off the aircon each night may be common across granada but it really didnt go down well with us. if you are ok with this issue then no better place to stay than here. but if you need the aircon then please be informed of this limitation. Inability to use the "Atrium" restaurant in the evening because of bookings by large parties. The alternative was to eat in the adjacent Breakfast Room which is fine for breakfast but rather utilitarian for an evening meal. At breakfast you can order, for example, fried eggs, but if the previously prepared bacon has finished a 20 minute wait can result by which time you have finished your breakfast! A little more coordination is necessary here!. Couldn't fault it, would look for another Vinnci hotel if in another city too. The only facility missing was a beauty spa where you could have beauty treatments and sports massage. There seemed to be areas where they could have added this service. Wifi signal at room is not stable. At worst case, we ended up going down to a reception area to use wifi. But not serious problem. Nothing - everything was fabulous. ask the staff to park your car for you, the parking place a bit tight but essential if you come with a car. Decor was a bit bland - beige and more beige! Fruit juice poor - not fresh. Difficult to get a hot plate to have your hot food on!!. It was difficult to drive to the hotel because Granada has so many one-way streets & several streets only for taxis, bikes & buses. We didn´t like the smell of cigarette smoke during the night. _We wondered if it came through the a/c vents?. The tv was very poor. It didn't bother us, but if you wanted to chill out for an hour or so you would only find German or Spanish. WiFi didn't have the reach to the far end of the 3rd floor, so had to go down the hall. Had to laugh, the hotel is well-located, easy to get to by car, and easy walk to the sites and ... Right on the procession (parade) route for one of the largest religious parades in Andalusia! Made for a rather noisy evening, though no fault of the hotel!. At night it was somewhat noisy since our room was next to the street. To be honest it was a little too formal for my liking and I felt that I was staying in a 4 star hotel. The marble floors are lovely but it does mean the hotel is a little noisy. The desk staff were efficient but could be a little more welcoming. Nothing at all. The only negative, if any , is that the rooms are near the street and it can be quite noisy especially early in the morning. The quite narrow parkingplaces in the garage. Room are small,shower place so small(tight) it is good for small person,Location of the hotel not so good(not close to Bus or Train station),fitness center not good,very small room not enough equipment at all(located in basement of the hotel). Only a small thing, if you are in a room at the front then thicker curtains would better. Bit light if you like a dark room. We enjoyed our stay, no negative comments. The sound isolation was really poor. Otherwise a nice hotel, but don´t go without earplugs. On top of that there´s an inner patio where birthdays and other private receptions were held and the spaniards party hard, loud and late. Went on till 2 am so no sleeping at least on fri nor sat nights on the first floor. Expensive Hotel Parking rates. Nothing we did not like. Nothing - it was perfect!. We didn't use the breakfast because of the high prices and because the little places where you can have your nice breakfast are in the direct neighborhood. The reception staff lack warmth, the double-bedrooms are small, and there are too few rooms with them - putting two singles together is no substitute for a good double bed!.
