The location on the Darro Ruver in Granada is excellent. Fairly flat & easy to move your luggage from Plaza/ taxis to the hotel. Great location for catching bus to the Alhambra; great neighborhood for restaurants and exploring the Albayzin, etc. best feature of the hotel was the 2 hour social sherry hour everyday in the Library. We had some of the best conversations of our trip in the library with other guests from Austraila and Germany!.
all reviews » The hotel is charming; beautifully appointed, it feels more like an elegant, real home than a hotel. It is walking distance from the Alhambra and many cafes and shops. The staff were welcoming and helpful and spoke English, which I appreciated. All was very clean and comfortable. The dining room is small but pretty offering a nice selection at breakfast. A luxury, relaxing, charming hotel; we loved the internal fine decoration, the friendliness of the service and the overall luxurious atmosphere of the place. Best spot in town!. Excellent location in the old town and 10 minutes walk to Alhambra. Lovely outlook from the deluxe room and buffet brekkie in the cellar was great. We'd go back in a flash!. Very close to the major attractions of Granada. The location was great and the rooms were very comfortable. Perfect location, spotless room, comfortable bed. 1) They offered free sherry i n the library every evening. 2) The hotel has character. Room could use a few more amenities such as more clothing storage or clothes hooks. There was room for them- they just weren't available. It was a bit tight for two people with luggage. I worried when I got to my room and saw they had placed earplugs by the bed; the hotel does front the main street in Granada near Alhambra so there are many cafes and pedestrians around. Thankfully, the French door- style windows have thick glass so closed, I had no problem. Could be a little noisy during week end celebrations. Only down side is that a bit noisy at night - the price for great location and lovely view but if need quiet go for a room not on the street. Our room fronted the street and was a bit noisy. 1) Poor internet connection initially, later improved. 2) Access for a traveller with a car is not possible as there is restricted access. 3) Very limited staffing in the hotel - although, despite this, the staff were very helpful.
