all reviews » Lovely selection of food for breakfast, although on a couple of occasions we had to wait rather a long time for hot food to be replenished. Hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant. Maids were not intrusive in cleaning the rooms, and the hotel, though full, was generally quiet and relaxing.This hotel is in an ideal location, just a short walk from the top of Las Ramblas, but far enough away that you are not disturbed by night time noise. The hotel was good value for what we paid (much less than the hotels own website) and very clean. Wery nice hotel, location,customer service, special thank you to irinain reception. Pool could be bigger, but was nice to refresh, accordingto city centre location it's size is understandable.The bedrrom is quite cosy and the swimmingpool is great! You can enjoy the sun as well as the life in a great city!. Location fine too.The Rooftop Pool. It is situated on one of the main streets. so it'll take you about 5 min walk to La Rambla. The aerobus' stop is also close. Our room was quite noisy as our window faced Gran Via. But that was actually the only problem we had. breakfast price is to expencive. Would have liked there to be a little bar for a drink on returning to the hotel after an evening out. There was a little bar/coffee lounge in the main foyer, but it always appeared to be closed. We didn't have the breakfast in the hotel, but we found that there were several cafes nearby that did breakfast for much less. If you want a hotel with a pool, the one here is tiny and not suitable for a proper swim.The staff is not so nice. Tea/Coffee facilities in rooms would have been nice. The room was quite warm and air-con didn't seem to cool the room. Also we had a problem with the water on our last day. We weren't able to have showers or use the water at all. We got a noisy room the first night despite having pre-booked a 'quiet room', however on the second day we moved to a quiet room at the back and it was perfect.On arrival we were given a double room although the booking was for a twin room. I was told it would be changed the next day. However the double room was a closet. It had not been serviced and there was no lighting in the bathroom. It was unacceptable and I requested an immediate room transfer. The situation with wi-fi was just a disaster. It didn't work, so I had to go down to the hall or to the 2nd floor to check my mail. Small room on inside but it was very clean and quiet. include breakfast to the romm price. The first night we had a room on the street side, and we couldn't sleep because of the noise. However in the morning the receptionist gave us a nice room on the back side of the hotel which was quiet. bed tooo hard. Traffic noise even with double glazed windows. Small room. The air conditioning was not working and it took two days to fix it. the room was very small, and no balcony :(. noise from street. Not cleaned particularly well after each day. Also, for ex. the bathroom supplies weren't replaced if almost completely used already. We should've taken even shower gel and shampoo with us. No shuttle bus service. The lobby area. The breakfast should be included in the price.I would not class this as a 4* hotel. Next question is answered based on traveller looking for 4* accomodation - probably a 2*, then I would recommend. air conditioning didnt work and mini bar fridge didnt work. very dirty i got a room that the toilet wasnt clean and the towels wet the room are smoking room and very smoky i think you shuld say that before because i hae asthma and its realy important to me.
