The hotel was very comtempary! Loved it! Location was a little far away from anywhere but excellent metro service. Staff were brilliant with us, when we arrived there was a problem with one of the floors "technical problems" but they sent us to the Hilton Hotel instead - no extra cost! The last night was at the Silken Hotel and they gave us a upgraded room for the problems. Can't fault them!.
all reviews » Location to the Metro was nice and easy to find with a landmark (egg building) right next it. Room was very spacious, room for luggage too! The front desk folks were extremely nice and spoke many languages. The room is really nice, clean and sexy (we had a standard room) - I appreciated a lot the bathroom (all walls are in clear glass, and the shower is just next the bed !!!). The hotel is located just a few minutes walking from the station Glories and it is in any case located only 3 km from Sagrada Familia. Prices are aligned. Trendy and modern design, perfect location next to Torres Agbar and only 4 subway station to Place de Catalunia which in the centre of the city. On the other side of the street large shopping mall which includes Carrefour supermarket (very convenient way of having fast breakfast for example). Modern hotel, room well decorated in minimalist style, interesting bathroom (the walls between bathroom and the room were made out of glass, with a translucent window blind next to the glass wall, giving natural light in the bathroom and creating the impression of space. The hotel is very easy to be reached within the city by underground. We received another room since there were some items broken in thebathroom. We received an upgrade at no extra charge. The room was medium size, comparative to other 4 stars hotels that I stayed in, but no problem for a couple. The split of the space between the room and the bathroom was creating the impression of light and space.there was a contruction nearby that was sometimes bit noicy. neighbour building is a huge constructions site at this moment - noisy!. Hotel staff would like to help us, but the quality of service is not enough. For example, when I wanted to print out some document, they were quite helpful, but they provided wrong email address again and again... Finally, I found the correct address and send the document to them to print out. no bathsleepers , no bathrodes .Upon arrival at 23.15, I was unpleasantly surprised to be told the Silken hotel was overbooked. A taxi was arranged and I was offered the Princess hotel instead at the same rate. The ratings therefore apply to the Princess hotel. price for breakfest. no tea or coffee making facilites in room,. the price of the breakfast. The staff were not overly friendly but since we spent very little time at the hotel other than to sleep it really didn't matter much. I'd stay again. There seems to be no wifi available in the room, which is a big disadvantage for business travellers and unthinkable for a modern-high tech hotel!! The pool on the roof of the hotel (great view!) is even smaller than on the pictures.We ordered taxi and had to wait more than 30 minutes, maybe the receptionist had forgotten about us. No wellness/sauna area :( Open swimming pool on the roof is useless in winter. Would prefer to have the breakfst included in the price. Would like to have free wireless or cable internet access in the rooms.no tea/coffee making facility in room. Furniture was already a little jaded, impractical shower (flooding of the bath room). wc ventilation, cost of breakfast. no internet conexion at the room, had to connect at the lobby. The wireless internet wasn't working. immediate enviroment (there is a construction site right across the hotel). The pool was a little deep and too cold for my little boy who had looked forward to a play in there. But very nice view!. internet connection is sometimes not working.
