Excellent hotel staff. They recommended us clubs and restaurants and were speaking english fluently. The room was very clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The computers with internet connection for common use. The desk staff were the best we have ever experianced but the bar staff could learn a lot from them as they were very rude to us and too busy to help.The need some training from Victor and David on the desks - very helpful people.

We stayed at Icaria for three days, then traveled for seven before returning to the hotel. Also the hotel was on a bus route to the Ramblas. it was our fourth year staying hear it is central for site seeing and a 5 minute stoll to the beech and marina. Outside Pool/Whirl-pool even in January. The bar staff - they told me and my partner they were too busy to help us out.Pricing for parking at the hotel was expensive for paying guests. You had to walk through reception after using the pool!!. airconditioning could have been better. Cards often failed to work. Pain to come back to reception to get newcard etc...I felt that the breakfast was overpriced and not at all good. There should be more staff on reception as queues were forming each time we went to ask questions etc.One of the Bartenders who was working on the monday night when we arrived was very rude. This was not a problem untill we realised he was in this bad humour all the time! Bartender and the pool needed a good clean.. didn't use restaurant bar, very quiet, location on the edge of city - buy 2 day turistic bus to get around, saves a fortune in cabs. Bigger bed pillows. Conditioner could be more silent. If it is on stronger mood, it becomes too loud to sleep at night, if weaker - it becomes to warm in the room.Slightly distant from city centre. Breakfast was not kept very hot i.e the bacon, eggs etc. Also no variety at breakfast. the pool area was policed a bit too strictly re: music, towels etc...room service. the massage we booked in advance could only be done on saturdaynight 9p.m. or mondaymorning at 10 a.m.(we had to leave for the airport at noon.). The night before departure we booked a wake up call for 05.30 and a taxi for 06.15 but the hotel booked the taxi for 05.30 and our wakeup call for 06.15 so becuase our taxi was sitting outside for 45 mins we were charged an extra 22 euros. We never even got an apology and had to pay this ourselfs. Breakfast is too expensive (17 euros/person), but this was not really a problem, there are lots of Bars in Barcelona where you can take a Breakfast or Snacks all over the day.
