The hostal is a very nice apartment (or two joint apartments) on the 3rd floor of a beautiful modernist house, with these old-style elements like shutters, tiled floor, wicker sofa, and separate taps for cold and hot water, and our room had a beautiful little balcony with forged railings.
Everything in the apartment was not new, but it was clean and everything was functioning well - cold/hot water, electricity.
The hostesses, Maria and Martina, were very nice and helpful.

The entire hostal has great design features and the owners knew what vintage furniture pieces to ad in order to preserve its wonderful architecture. I especially loved the strained-glass windows and the original tiles in all rooms. My room was spaceous, with a great street view from the small balcony. The location is perfect: 5 minutes walk to Paseig de Gracia and another 5 minutes to Placa de Catalunya (also, metro stations and bus stations are very close). The owners are really nice and ready.

We had a wonderful stay at Hostal Martina. Maria and Martina are very lovely hosts, the rooms are beautiful and the area is really nice.There are lots os nice bars and restaurant for breakfast and dinner, It's very close to the centre and you can easily walk to the beach, las ramblas etc. We will definetely come back!.
This is a very good value for money property. Very well preserved. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The single room is basic however very clean and comfortable. The location is perfect: only 5minutes to Paseig de Gracia and Plaza Catalunya.Highly recommended.
Amazing old building with beautifull stained glass windows, stucco molding work and traditional colorfull floor tiles. Big breazy rooms, quiet location. Friendly english speaking owner Martina (wich you will never see again after your check-in.).

Lovely terrace. Simple, but comfortable accommodation, close to mass transit, walkable to points of interest including restaurants and supermercats.

The hotel is a cute guest -house within a nice building.
No fridge or beverage cups (no plates), it would have been nice to eat your own breakfast in the room or on the balcony.
Only 1 small hairdryer in bad condition.
The hostel is totaly void of any human presence at the reception 24 hours a day. So if there is any problem or any question, you have to call them by the phone.
Price was reasonable within Barcelona's market, but still very expensive for low amenity lodging. Difficult to get a good night's sleep due to a choice between fresh air or city noise. Very loud.
5 nights. Poor room, poor service, careless attitude. Be aware u r getting an overpriced backpackers place.
Location is terrible, with trash bins right under the room and some wild nightclub next to it. It was impossible to get a good night sleep.
The room was not cleaned for 2 days. The reception is only open during specific hours of the day.
