casa gracia was absolutely amazing!!! It is located close to diagonal metro station and within walking distance to all the great sites and restaurants. The breakfast was great and didn't end super early like many of the other hostels I've been to. Also, the staff was very experienced and helpful and added tremendously to the environment of the hostel. They have wifi available and the common area was the perfect place to relax a bit and meet other travelers. I will undoubtedly return to next .
all reviews » Nice place!The room was clean and so was the rest of the flat,the staff was very friendly and helpful . my stay was short but excellent is awesome since it is close to the city centre so we can venture in the touristy things you have planned for Barcelona but its neighbourhood is also full of pretty plaças and bars where lots of locals hang out. The staff was amazing- early check in was possible since we had not slept due to poor travel the night before, the concierge welcomes you with a glass of champaign and info about the city, and there is always Spanish food (home made) in the kitchen. Rooms are great, especially for the price and there are free concerts throughout the week. Wow. The Hostal is in perfect location, close to Gracia, the best barrio in the city- young, lively and with lots of cool bars and shops. Also the staff was very helpful and informative, and the atmosphere is young and homey, with a large common area, terrace to seat and eat in the sun and a well equipped kitchen. Every thing was so nice. the design of each floor and the common areas where perfect, the amazing kitchen although we didn't cook for ourselves. each night you have a special kind of dinner or a show in the hostel, and they invite you to free walking tours. Traveling information was really helpful. Great! The overall design of the hotel was nice. It was good value for the money. We got towels, free breakfast, and the wifi was good in the lobby. The location was pretty good. It was a 15 minute walk to most places and there were 2 metro stops within a 10 minute walk. I really liked Monica. In a matter of fact, I liked all the staff I've met in my 10 days stay. Fantastic common areas gives a great opportunity to meet people and make friends. Nightly events such as movienight, pubcrawls and prepared dinners were excellent. Excellent location (minutes from Diagonal metro) and really well designed hostel and rooms. It's great to be able to stay in a traditional Gracia apartment building. They have done a great job with the decor and the staff were really friendly during my stay. Very secure and safe - lockers and keycards to enter your room. Close to diagonal metro station. There were several toilet and shower cubicles so never had to wait. I liked the included breakfast and the common areas- kitchen/ livingroom. very nice hostal!. Wonderful stay in casagracia hostel, well organised and very clean. I loved the common area where while cooking you meet lots of nice people and organize different activities to socialize. Staff was great, thanks for making my stay in Barcelona so nice :-). First, the girls at the reception are really friendly and ready to give you all the information you would want. Also, you may buy tickets from them for any important place in the city, so you don't have to wait in the queue. Bonus: the very good breakfast. I stayed in this hotel for one night only, but I did enjoy my stay here, as it was nice, cosy and clean. What's not to like?. tiny minor things that probably won't prevent us to come again: mattress is too soft but i guess it's like this all over Spain. It was a pity that the terrase closed at 23 and the common at 24 - but only because it is so great to be there!!. It's not cheap but it's not a bottom-end hostel either. The bathroom is within the dorm, so it can be a little uncomfortable at night. A TV in the private room would have been great. The room was clean enough but could be cleaner. Adult people must understand that it's a hostel full of youngsters and probably won't be good for them even though its extremely nice and highly ranked. Our room didn't have a view but that really didn't spoil our stay. we spent 4 nights at the hostel. on the second day someone brought us a new towel and after that till the last day no one has changed for new one i was surprised how often they changed. The glass separator between the bedroom and bathroom was quite see through. The rooms weren't cleaned in 4 days. Rooms were a bit noisy. Perhaps a little pricey but we felt it was worth it!. The staff were quite nonchalant, some of the beds seemed to be double-booked. Can't think of anything. We were three people in the room, but we were not given a second key until the last day. None. Noise from road workers outside. Unpleasant smell from pipes. I know it is a hostel - but in the rooms there is no chair - only the beds. Selection in breakfast is poor - but maybe it is like this in a hostel. Parkingplace was 50 euro for 18 hours. I know it is not the hostel parking. Toilet/shower inside the room. However, it was not reasonable clean for a backpacker. Hot water at some point wasn't available. The AC was broken. Our room had a window that didn bring in fresh air. In the bathroom I used, the lights turned off from time to time. Some of my food disapear from the fridge... But hey. That happens. The rooms weren´t big enough for six beds. Expensive for a hostel but so is all of Barcelona.
