Proximity to Placa Catalunya and amenities. it is very well located. location was excellent. The guy on reception was really helpful whilst still having a personality. Check in - check out staff were more interested in talking too eachother then dealing with there guests !!!!. * noise and "shaking" of windows caused by the metro (tube), noise of customers by night in the walls (at 4am); noise of cleaners at 7am. Breakfast at 12 Euros each was quite expensive and we breakfasted at local cafes. We could hear the Metro passing underneath.The breakfast was very limited and the hot food was vertually cold.There was no bar which i thought was a little odd. It would have been nice to have had a drink once we had finished touring and shopping before retiring. Noise. I can´t pay by credit card and must found cash!. the room did not have any windows to the street, it was looking to the apartment's inner hall. Maybe it should be noted in the. Room smelled like there had been smokers, in our room there was even an ashtray, although hotel staff said all the rooms are non-smoking. Addition to that the metro was driving right under the hotel, through-out the night causing thunder-like noise every 10-15 minutes. Not very peaceful nights. Very poor fascility, doesn't look like a hotel with tree strar at all !! Very, very noisy elevator, and doesn't matter where the room is located. The noise is weaking up during night and morning!!! Rather avoid this place! There is lots of others hotels around!!!. the windows of my room faced the back side os the hotel and that part was covered in the vacuum. the effect of the winter garden style. even thought i have open windows, there was no fresh air, was so hot in the room!!! for ones who like fresh air and silence during the sleep-strongly dont recomend this hotel!
and the check in NOT at arrival, but at 14.00,we were in the way to barcelona 10! hours, but arrived at 13.00. we were forced to wait, all dirty and longing for shower... Very very noisy, the cleaning staff were shouting in the corridor in the mornings. The reception staff were rude and unhelpful.Rooms or should I say closets.Smallest and sparcest that we had seen in our month in Europe!.
