The room was on the small side, but it was clean and pleasant. The included breakfast is really a kitchen with cereal, juices, coffee and some sliced cheese, meat and bread (with a toaster) that you can use 24 hours a day, which is very nice as well. Great location, less than 5 minutes off Las Ramblas, but the street is safe and quiet. I would definitely consider staying there again. We liked the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is situated in a very central area so everything is within easy reach.all reviews »

Locality - within walking distance to metro and shopping districts. The location, friendly staff, modern decoration and relation price/benefit were the best things. excellent location, very relaxed and informal. the concept and interior. Very fiendly people giving good advice for places to visit and restaurants to have a nice (payable) dinner. The inside of the hotel was very stylish and the 'open fridge' was very handy. Ideal for youngsters who don't need big luxury, but a comfortable and great place to stay. Also the location near to universitat and ramblas and plaza catalunya was perfect!. At the reception they are very polite. Since I arrived early and checkin was only at 14h, the recepcionist put our bags in a safe place so that we could go out and visit Barcelona during the morning. The walls are extremely thin, and when someone in a nearby room uses water (toilet, shower, sink) in the bathroom, you can clearly hear it. I wore earplugs to help drown out the sound. Otherwise, no complaints. It would be nice if there was more variety for the breakfast and the staff be always aware of the check-out time of the guests. I had to leave without checking out because there was nobody there. As we paid for the stay in the check in that was though no big deal.although it was clean the shower/toilet cubicle floor was a little shabby due to wear and tear and could do with tidying up as everything else was to a really good standard. The was one day that we stayed in bed till midday and their was no room service after that. Toilet paper was missing and had to be bought. After 21h their is no one at the reception but their is a emergency number you can call if you need to use it.small bathroom. the bathroom is separated from the room by coloured plexiglas. This looks nice, but offers little privacy in use of the toilet or the shower. The way the bathroom was situated - toilet and shower had one shared sliding glass door and did not leave much privacy. Furthermore, it was quite noisy. Bathrooms are not covered with tiles, walls always look dirty, rooms very small,. Even the XL room was very small. One of our bags was mixed with someone else's when we gave it in for safe-keeping. The walls were too thin and I couldn't sleep properly. I checked out early and moved to another place where I could rest better.First time I've slept in a 10 sqm room (super small), very (!) noisy, towels are removed once used but not replaced, no hangers, no place to lock your stuff, heating in a friend's room did not work - this is really a converted youth hostel, so while design is cool, it's very very basic indeed;-).
