it's very close to everything - 10 mins walk to Ramblas/the port/Montjuic/Placa Espanya. the metro line is right next to it and can take you quickly anywhere in Barcelona (example 5 mins to Placa Catalunya, 10 mins to the beach etc). everything looks exactly as in the pictures on the website. it's very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. I really liked the time spent there, it's a a very nice location, a very nice apartment, which a chic design and ambiance. the kitchen had enough applian.
all reviews » This was the first booking we ever made on line. Had to get used to the casual arrangements without a staffed lobby. However the staff were available to serve our limited needs. and the accommodations appeared to have been recently renovated OR built and generous in size. We chose not to eat in but might the next time. Barcelona was a revelation to us. It is a great city with wonderful people od such diversity. And I could go on... We had everything that we needed and there was no hassle at all. What I really appreciated was that even though the deposit was 200 euros (for 5 people to stay) we paid 100 euros because on the first day there was only two of us. The fact that they were lenient and understanding of this was great. We didn't need to ask for it either! Great place great people. I would recommend this place for anyone considering it. Fantastic apartments. Fully equipped for our needs although we ate out and only had breakfast in the apartment. Great location 10 minute walk to la rambles. Metro station less then a minutes walk. Easy access to the airport and Monserrat by train. Clean and tidy, modern accomodation!! Great if you have a family or a group of friends. It is not luxurious like some hotels but great for the price. good place to stay in Barcelona. Metro station few steps from exit, La Rambla and Columbus five minutes to go. Red route station from columbus monoument, blue route station from catalounia square (15-20 min to go). Apartments in new building, clean, sunny, big windows, no extra cleaning fee. Is everything you may need at staying for few days. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location was great and within walking distance of restaurants and scenery and historic sites. The apartment was spacious and convenient. The apartment itself was pretty much as advertised, no more, no less. We greatly enjoyed our stay at Charmsuites and would definitely stay there again. Location. An annoyance: as soon as the booking was confirmed we received a list of day by day room rates that seemed inconsistent, some days were 140 Euros, others as much as 220. The reason for this was not evident, and not made clear when the reservation was made. I feel that 140 is a fair rate, but 220 is excessive. The only other detail is the extra payment of 30 Euros for check-out before 9 am. Staff, while very friendly and helpful, are in fact available for only limited times during the day. Small things like soap and shampoo are not supplied so remember to bring your own. 1. Would have liked at least a couple of tea bags and sachets of coofee / sugar/ milk to start off the occupancy of the apartment 2.Would have liked a daily change of towels instead of one change in a five day stay . 3.Should leave a toilet brush and cleaner in the bathroom, it does have a bidet though , which I just would not use. The apartments need a receptionist attending all the time. Poor drainage flows in the bathroom!!! We had to close the valve on the shower while were washing. Garbage must be disposed of by yourself. The only bad thing is the 30 Ero fees for early check out , it give a feeling that the owner is so greedy to ask for it , I spent mor than 1200 Euro for 7 days and at the end I paid 30 euro for early check out, however I was aware about this fees as it mentioned in the policy. Nothing. The metro runs under the apartments and it takes a while to get used to the noise, but it didn't spoil our stay. A couple of small things - there were no tea-towels provided in the kitchen, and there was no blind on the bathroom window. A weak wi-fi signal. They asked for a cash deposit when we arrived. The online information on letsbookhotel.com mentions a deposit to be placed on your card--we weren't prepared to give up 100 Euro in cash as soon as we arrived. Also, they don't provide anything but linens. Be prepared to bring/buy everything you need. Be sure to read their check in/check out policies too. They charge an extra 30 Euro for coming in after their normal hours. It was a 35 Euro taxi ride to the airport. Wifi was unsecured No microwave ware for cooking Poor array cooking pots and utensils. In bathroom no shelving space, limited space around basin to keep toiletres, only three hooks, no towel racks. I found the hotel difficult to find as there is no obvious signage outside. Extra charges for late arrival and early departure. too noisy street. cutlery not optimal. Noise of neibours till late nights. Appartment was located on (busy) street side and quite noisy due to street noise. Limited glasses for use. ......... The apartment was very noise in the morning and well into the night. Could also hear the Metro... The check-out time was to early... No wine glasses. it isn't enough place in a bathroom, there are no shelves. We had an issue with some of the lights, electrics seem a bit messed up. Lights would come on and off at will!. We felt that the penalties for not leaving clean dishes and not disposing of your rubbish (50 euros each) are strange. I think a polite request would have similar effect. Nobody to change bed sheets or clean the rooms. penalty of of 30 Euro if you leave earlier than 9 am, which I found really strange. Apartment was different (less quality) from the one in the pictures. Charmsuites should put on the web pictures of all apartments not only the top ones. Noise at night from other apartment. I dissussed with Charmsuites employees but no action. The noise. The hotel and the rooms are dirty and there are some nonsence rules. Furniture inside the flat was rather poor. Quite expensive for what it offers.
