Excellent location, quiet room. The room was very pleasant and so were the public areas of the hotel. The staff was very kind, efficient and helpful. The Airbus station is just few minutes away and since we traveled by air we enjoyed the cheap and efficient bus transportation. There are a number of restaurants nearby where you can eat decent breakfast if you want to skip the full hotel breakfast.

The Avenida Palace is one of the best 4-star hotels in which I have been staying: excellent location, good service, recently renovated room and bathroom, and almost no noise from the street, from the corridor or from other rooms.Position to main features and shopping in Barcelona. The staff especially the hairdressers who are fabulous, we all had our hair done, thankyou! Great view from room. Door man helpful with directions. Location in the heart of the city! The hotel staff was very helpful.it was very comftible. the management was very helpful. They made us feel very welcome after a long trip. Both the location and value for money. Excellent Location, staff very helpful. Peace and quiet. The locality of the hotel to the plaza de cataluna, the shops,the buses and the metro train. In short its close enough to everything without the constant noise and hussle of la ramblas ! We were only there for a few days and our room ( a junior suite ) overlooked the gran via de les corts catalanes one of the main spine roads in barcelona the traffic was hardly noticeable.It is a great location right on Grand Via and only a block to Catalanya Plaza. Our rooms faced Grand Via but it is well sound proofed with double windows and was not noisy at all. I highly recommend this place. the location was perfect. Not able to get a late check out and checkin was shown on reception desk as 16.00. When I checked out at 12.00 some people were checkinhg in.... what is the correct check in time... 16.00 is very late!. No swimming pool. Drinks were very expensive.the mini bar and and the prices for the dinner where very high. Our smoking preference wasn't noted before hand. Like everyone else said, the guy at the front desk was not very helpful!. No. We ate out all the time so cannot comment on the hotel food other than to say that the cost of breakfast seemed excessive for what was on offer. Reception staff very professional but not particularly friendly.no tea or coffee making facilites, bathroom could do with an update. Only one out of two lifts working for two days and then that broke as well on our final day.Breakfast is quite expensive. No. Public rooms are good but bedrooms are a little dowdy and plain. When ordering tea to room at 12.00 Pm was given the tray to carry to room ourseolves! 4 star service?. poor room aspect looking onto internal light well.
