Location was perfect, only 50 meters to Fontana station. Staff was excellent. We would definitely stay there again. No problems, very nice staff. the staff and the cleanness. welcoming staff. Good location, not too central but central enough. Friendly personnel. We'd stay there again. The reception personnel did not make the big mistake to switch to English because of our Spanish with Chileno accent (thanks!).
all reviews » Great location central to everything If you are on foot, subway very close so you can get to everywhere easily as the sights all spread out, if you are like me The older the better. Very nice hotel. Clean and comfortable. Very close to the metro in a nice neightborhood. You can walk by the streets until very late in the night without any trouble. . The hotel staff was very helpful and kind. It was easy to reach by publis transport.Cleanliness of the room and the location of the hotel. It was about 100m from the nearest metro line. And the room had extra shutters on the windows, that completely blocked out the sun when they were closed. It was simple but brilliant. It was so close to the metro and having the kitchenette in the room was convienent. Also, the staff was very helpful. Staff were lovely, room was excellent, flatscreen tv, usb ipodcompatible stereo and free internet in lobby.The location - Gracia is a great place to be at night and the comfortable rooms. Short walk to Fontana metro station. With a refrigerator and a stove (cooker) in the room, we made good coffee and ate good/healthy breakfasts in the room after stocking up at the local supemarket.We didn´t like the hotel. Terrible room and poor ventilated. It was very hot and the air conditioning was not working. After complain we find out that it was not a guest choice but a manager choice. We were badly treated by the staff and instead of staying 3 days we stayed only one and changed hotel. Breakfast is way too expensive. The shower had sometimes cold water only for a while, but with a bit of patience there was always plenty of warm water to finish any shower. Non orthopedic beds. There was nothing that we did not like about the hotel. The rooms are a bit crowded and the walls are fairly thin but these are minimal complaints.No milk in room for tea etc. Tea / coffee not replenished after 1stday. No biscuits either. Should be more english channels made availableon the tv. Some staff was very nice, some not.Well we stayed in the old part of it and it was not refurnished as the other of its part, and too much biologic smell stayed in the room. But the hotel in general was very clean, washed everyday. There was a terrible sewage smell on the terrace one morning. It also happened in the bathroom the next evening. We were told they could not find a reason for it. walls too thick and noise could be easily heard. Noise in the streets late at night...Furniture in our room was a little bit old and in bathroom water was going on the floor. rooms - walls - were noisy - could hear guest next door carrying on. The bed could have been more comfortable.

Travelling information

By Car:
- Drive until you reach the intersection of Avda. Diagonal with Paseo De Gracia.
- Once you reach this crossroads with an obelisk in the middle - Plaça Joan Carles I - take Paseo de Gracia and go straight on.
- The street name then changes into Gran de Gràcia, but you have to continue straight on until you reach Fontana Metro Station on your right-hand side.
- Immediately after this, turn left into a narrow street called Bretón de los Herreros at the end of which you will find the property with 3 flags.

From Barcelona Airport (El Prat):
It is possible to reach the hotel either by taxi, bus or train. There is also a bus shuttle (Aerobus) that stops in front of each terminal building taking you to the city centre within half an hour. You should get off at the last stop - Plaza Catalunya – and then either take a taxi straight to the hotel or the metro, line 3 or green line, until Fontana Station. The hotel is in Bretón de los Herreros, which is right opposite Fontana Station. Once you reach this short street, you will already be able to see the property at the end of the street with its three flags.

The last option would be to take a train from the Airport to the main Railway Station - Sants Station - and afterwards the metro, line 3 or green line, getting off at Fontana station.
