The place is fabulous. The setting is beautiful, it is clean, wonderful views, quiet and relaxing. It is close to other beautiful wine estates, with very good restaurants, not far from Cape Town if you want to go to the city, but far enough from crowds if you want to relax. Staff is very efficient and friendly. Although I marked solo traveller, I actually went with my mother who is disabled and the room we had was very suitable for her.

Excellent facilities and comfort. Easy to find on main road 4km from Stellenbosch. Personal service, brilliant breakfast and exquisite view of the mountains and vineyards. It did not bother me one bit to have a room facing the road (Malbec). The room is decorated with understated elegance and exudes a feeling of peace. It is impeccably clean. Excellent stay at the Lovane. The two girls on reception were very helpful, attentive and made feel very welcome! Best breakfasts weve had in our stay in South Africa. Comfy beds and a real relaxing stay that we thoroughly enjoyed! Thanks. Our room was just front of the parking, going out , entering room was so easy. We had a very nice breakfast. I could choose also loose tea , different kinds, the taste was excellent. I wish to stay more days to different wine cellar. An absolute gem! Small winery with lovely accommodation. Lovely wine tasting in their own wine cellar, great atmosphere and scenery. Fantastic stay in a wine tasting area with great quality accommodation!. This is nothing the owners can do anything about. The two lane road from Stellenbosch has a narrow exit turn to cross the divide to enter the estate. If travelling too fast when exiting the fast lane, the sharp right turn is quite severe. A missing towel rail was replaced with a small copper hook which slightly detracted from the elegance of the rest of the bathroom. Nothing!. poor wifi-reception in room. Our bedroom was up some outside steps. I think there should have been some warning of this in case it was not convenient. Didn't see the traditional wine making equipment shown in online pics. Nothing. N/a. Room was rather simple, but bathroom was Nice and comfortable. - Location (every taxi ride to/from Stellenbosch costed ZAR 150). Nothing. Price is to high. Proximity to Main Road. Location is next to a busy road squeezed in between other places . View onto vineyards ok but no majestic mountains. We elected to move out after 1 nite for above rasons but were charged for 3 nites, which we considered reasonable given advanced booking but does not leave a favorable impression re value.
