The manager was excellent and did all she could to make our stay a pleasant one. For the price, the facilities were much better than expected. Our stay was relaxing. There is plenty to do around St Lucia with the various parks and wetlands. Beautiful lodge and garden, with view over forest to sea and lagoon. Close to town facilities. Exciting wildlife in the street and garden! (Livingstone`s Turaco visiting garden). Staff and management relaxed and very friendly.
all reviews » We had an amazing room that opened onto the huge shared veranda. The room was enormous and the breakfast was delicious. All the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The manageress and staff are very welcoming and helpful and a good breakfast is available every morning on the top deck. The self catering cabanas are well equipped, clean and adequately furnished. Despite the negatives below the Lodge does however represent good value for money for a pleasant stay in St Lucia. - Good view of Wetlands, Lake St Lucia and Indian ocean from the viewing deck; - Good Room: beautiful and romantic decoration, neat and tidy; high quality linen and air conditioner; If it was not for the cold water in the shower, we would say it was excellent. - Good location on Hornbill Street. St Lucia. Bloody frog kept us awake most of first night. Dripping airconditioner, slightly unhelpful owner. Lack of options at breakfast. Door to the restroom - just awfull and absolutely disharmonic with so lovely place. TV and TV programs can improve (add Kyknet). Downsides are: a) The rooms are dingy b) The 'private garden and furnished patio' is in fact a car port complete with corrugated plastic roof in front of the cabana off the main driveway to reception and c) The pool and pool area is very small - OK if no other guests want to use it!!. - The Breakfast: stinky plates; no cheese; no ham; no filter coffee, no hot milk; small quantity of sliced bread of poor quality; no other kinds of bread or croissants; too short period (8h to 9h30); embarassed have to share the same table with strangers; - Room: cold water in the shower! - Information Brochure (in room): it should bring more useful information, specially about the most probable times and places to find hippos on the streets. Ndiza. We were allocated a tiny cabana without bathroom or toilet doors. I can honestly say I was pleased that my wife did not come with me rather than my son. For the money charged it sucked.
