Reception staff extremely helpful, and although we had booked 'one room', all the 'rooms' are actually suites, and ours was in an annexe with its own patio leading down to the lake's edge. The restaurant was excellent, and the gardens were beautiful with two swimming pools. The location right on the water. The adjacency to good restaurants as well as first class in house chef. Efficient & courteous staff.

Directions From Cape Town: - Travelling on the N2 from Cape Town, go past Somerset West, Caledon, Swellendam, Albertina, Mossel Bay and George; - Approaching Knysna on the N2, cross over the Knysna Lagoon; - Continuing for approximately 2.5 km, there will be a sign on the left-hand side of the road saying The Point"; - Turn right onto a gravel road which is the St James entrance. Directions From Port Elizabeth: - Travelling on the N2 from Port Elizabeth, go past Humansdorp, Storms River and Plettenberg Bay; - Following the N2 out of Knysna, go past various African curio stalls on the left hand side of the road; - Approximately 300m further, there will be a sign board on the left-hand side of the road saying "The Point"; - Turn left onto a gravel road which is the St James entrance.
