It was worth paying a little extra for the Honeymoon Room. It was a beautiful, bright, modern, large room and the view of the Knysna Heads and Lagoon was outstanding. The Manager, Vee, was absolutely brilliant ! She has such a warm personality and does everything she can to make sure you are enjoying your stay. She gave us a recommendation for dinner at JJ's at the Waterfront which was excellent and she also recommended an excursion to the Featherbed Nature Reserve which we enjoyed so much - th.
all reviews » We had booked the honeymoon suite which was just as described. Large room, fabulous double rainshower plus bath. Good quality linens and towels. The view from the room was breathtaking. Vee is such a lovely person and really wants you to enjoy your stay. Great breakfasts too. The superb room with a real WOW factor view over the whole Knysna lagoon. Vee was an engaging, highly competent, friendly and very helpful host providing excellent breakfasts. A high quality and peaceful location when visiting Knysna. Fabulous location, 1 min off the n2, with Vee as the perfect host. Helpful, knowledgable and uptone. Place is tastefully decorated, lovely job. You are amidst a beautiful setting in lush vegetation and a fantastic view on the lagoon. Wonderful hosts who went out their way to chat to us about our trip and suggest better routes and attractions to see. Breakfast was great and room with balcony was awesome. Safe area close enough to the waterfront. The room decor is mode and the view was awsome and felt like paradise, Vee the hostess was very freindly and pleasant. Breakfast was outstanding. We will be back , we highly recomend Bridgewater manor. We liked this hotel very much. It had been refurbished to a high standard. The bedroom was spacious with a balcony that looked over a lagoon. Breakfasts were excellent. Vee the host was most attentive. Superb location, super clean well equiped rooms, fantastic views over the lagoon plus super breakfasts and friendly staff. Vee the manageress was helpful and entertaining. Nice pool. very well looked after by manageress, this hotel has prime location for view of Knysna Lagoon and Heads, but you can hear traffic at night. Good food and comfort. Lovely views of the Lagoons and within walking distance of the waterfront with its good choice of restaurants and shops. Excellent rooms with facilities. The view was amazing. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very helpful about things to do in Knysna. Definitely recommend. Proprietor was very helpful in pointing out local attractions and (very good) restaurants. Spacious room and complete bathroom. The large room, the balcony and views, good breakfast and friendly staff, all within 10 minutes of waterfront restaurants. Beautiful gardens and outlook and Vee is an excellent manageress, nothing is too much trouble for her. The host Vee was very accomodating and always willing to answer questions about the area. Comfortable, tasteful, relaxing B+B with good , friendly service. Highly recommended. Wonderful room with bath and shower for two... Great service. Very nice view over the lagoon. Everything. Very clean,well furnished,well equipped kitchenette and a highly energetic and polite manager! to add to this the views of the lagoon were excellent!. Walking up the hill !!! But that's what gives the Bridgewater such a great view. Not within easy walking distance of the town but then I am almost certainly lazier than the majority!. Rather no TV's than the midget dinos from 1990...;-) Flat screen is a must, although you wont be watching, there is too much to do around this breath taking scenery. That we did not stay longer,and having to leave. Only small issue was the road noise from the N2 below. Wish we had more time here. Fan in the room could benefit from a thourough cleaning. Other than this the room and bathroom were neat and clean. Can't say we found anything to dislike. vacinity to main road. Limited choice of TV channels. All good. traffic noise. One can hear the traffice from the main road. Nothing. There were no porters to carry the luggage! and a few more vegetarian options in the breakfast were needed.
