Very friendly and helpful owner that gave us lots of helpful advice. It's only a short stroll to the beach and the shops and restaurants. Bright and modern rooms, we even had a jacuzzi in our room. A shared kitchen and living room is available. Rooms were lovely and large, very comfortable. Kitchen was well-equipped on the crockery and cookware side (though lacking in some cutlery) and spacious. Close to the coastal path which was great and town centre (within easy walking distance).

Travelling information

From Cape Town: - Take the N2 towards George. - Pass over Sir Lowry's Pass. Drive straight. After about 20 minutes you will pass Grabouw and reach the Houw Hoek Pass. - As you come down this pass Botriver will be on your left hand side. - Shortly after you will see a turn off to Hermanus R43 to your left. - Take this off Ramp and drive straight ahead along the R43. - You will pass the Kleinmond turn. - Pass Fisherhaven , Hawston, Vermont, Onrus and Sandbaai. - After Sandbaai traffic lights you will pass through three more sets of lights. - Once you are in Hermanus, turn right into Albertyn Street. - Then turn first left into Flower Street. - Whale Coast Lodge is 5th house on the right, Nr 19.
