Awesome place. Location is in fact very convenient and comments to the contrary don't make much sense; it's 5mins into the centre of town and really no traffic. Plus it's on the side of town you probably want to be. The only reason to cross town is to get to the train station which you'd escape as fast as humanly possible. Good food and coffee, with amazing homemade biscuits & rusks. All included! Oh, and it was crazy cheap imho. Free wifi too.
all reviews » This stunning "afri-chic" guest house is a delightful place to stay. Attention to detail, comfort and creativity abounds. Chloe and Marie took excellent care of us and I can highly recommend Liedjiesbos Guest House to anyone. We had dinner at the 'Longhorn Steak House', a few minutes down the road, which was great. We will definitely stay here again. Henning has a lovely place with very eclectic tastes but which have all come together to produce a magnificent property. Very friendly welcome from both him and his dogs! Breakfast was very well cooked and presented and the homemade jams superb. A first class place for anyone to visit, many thanks. I was made to feel very welcome from the moment I arrived - which for a lady traveller is very important. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt right at home. The decor is quirky and the furnishing is very good. I will definitely return. Great place. Loved the personal approach of the owners. Very friendly and helpful. I felt like I was in home. Bought some of their home made jams and they were delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone. Lovely rooms decorated with care. Attention to detail. Great breakfast. Without Sat Nav we found Liedjiesbos very difficult to find. Some road signs would be needed, especially if arriving for the first time at night. My short stay there. Nothing. Nothing. Maybe a bit more water pressure, but i am really looking for something to complain about. There was nothing we didnt like about it - so no complaints. A open bathroom and Toilet?. Nothing that we can think of... Even if we try to find fault we are unable to do so. There are no windows that I can open. Nothing. Nothing.

From the N1: - Take the Nelson Mandela off-ramp and drive away from the city centre towards Dealesville (west). - Keep going for 2.7 km till you get the sign for the Tempe / Kenilworth turnoff and turn right. - Continue with this road for another 2,7km and turn right again into Frans Kleynhans Road. - Continue for 2,2km until the first STOP sign. - Here you will see Liedjiesbos (No 13) on your right hand side. From Mimosa Mall: - Take General Dan Pienaar drive in a northerly direction (Parfitt Ave becomes General Dan Pienaar Drive). - Turn left into Lucas Steyn Street and continue until you go through under the N1. - Passing the N1, Lucas Steyn will become Frans Kleynhans Road. - Continue on Frans Kleynhans road until you reach a STOP sign. - Turn left into Liedjiesbos (No 13).
