Easy walk to Ljubljana castle and Dragon Bridge and to money exchange @ train station in opposite direction (airport exchange had already closed). This was the first night after flying from the US, so we were suitably jet-lagged, but got the castle in + nice dinner beside the river, slept well and then saw more of the old town next morning before leaving for Bled. Excellent breakfast too!. Friendly easy going staff who went out of their way to be helpful - big thanx to Mica and Maria. Single rooms are clean and spacious with wooden furniture not chipboard. Great location. Pretty quiet, but just a 5 minute stroll to 3 bridges area. Good food in restaurant at reasonable price. Reception staff should help guests to book a day bus trip. We hadsome excellent trips with kompas which were advertised at the front deskbut none of the staff seemed to know anything about it and there was nophone number with advert. I had to go to Kompas myself. bathroom is *very* small (it's impossible not to make a swimmingpool of the bathroom when showering). Organisation of breakfast was a little chaotic-all the buffet elements were in one corner leading to congestion. Shower stall too small, shower curtain too short, impossible to shower without water spilling all over the bathroom; would be nice to have wifi Internet access from room instead of just in the lobby.Surrounding area. Laundry was not working and too expensive. I would suggest more fresh vegetables for breakfast buffet. car parking. The rooms, obviously converted from Tito-era block housing, are pretty small and the linoleum floors aren't too comfy. The bathroom is miniscule and it's impossible to use the shower without covering the entire room in water; still, it's a good value, and I will take cleanliness and proximity over size and modernity every time. Bathrooms are rather small (especially shower area), rooms have a kind of old-fashioned look (i.e. student's dormitory like), no possibility to regulate room temperature (used to be extremely hot). no boiler in the room. From the description I thought there would be wireless Internet in the rooms which is not the case. Only downstairs in the lobby and the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was very poor and the coffee appaling. Invest in a decent coffee machine and serve some fresh fruits and the breakfast will be decent.Parking was a problem at hotel and surroundunding streets. very small bathroom. Poor Breakfast.
