I liked everything! The office manager was very efficient, friendly, accommodating and informative (a delight to visit with her each time we had the opportunity). The outside of the Pension (which appears as three separate but attached buildings) looks like a little Switzerland, all so cutesy and appropriately "Alpine" like. We stayed in one of the superior double rooms and it was gorgeous, beautifully decorated, large rom, lovely bathroom, great shower, comfy bed. All great! Location is good for exploring the Tatras and surrounding areas. Restaurant on side was excellent and we ate there every night of our 6 night stay in August and breakfast was lovely too. The pension manager was the best manage. We liked everything - spacious room, cleanliness, genuinly friendly and helpful staff, generous breakfast, very good restaurant in the hotel, parking with cctv which you can check on your tv screen, the fact they rent bikes in summer and skiing equipment in winter for free, overall wonderful atmosphere in this wonderful small family hotel. We brought our dog along, which had not been any problem for the staff. Quite the opposite, our dog had been very welcome and we had not been charged any ext. We had the most wonderul time in Tatrasport Zampa. From the moment when we arrived we felt very welcome. Everyone was more than useful and extremely friendly. Checking in a bit earlier than per hotel policy was not a smallest issue, same with checking-out, we were allowed to stay till our bus was leaving at 12. The faciliies are excellent, I couldn't ask for more. Everything is spacious, modern, clean and finihed to the highest standard. The restaurant next door is fabulous with very friendly a. What a find! The rooms are beautiful and spacious, the bathrooms are the best we've had in 4 months of traveling in Europe, and breakfast is generous and delicious. Martina had lots of advice on hiking trails and arranged a driver for us for a day to see nearby towns and Spis castle. Mirov was such a nice man and spoke good English. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend Tatrasport Zampa. The hotel is a real value for Money. The hotel is located only 4 minutes from the station and there are quite a few restaurants and bars around. Very well served breakfast and the room size was probably the biggest I've ever stayed in any hotel in most of the countries I have visited in Europe. Martina was really helpful and she did give us all the information about the area. The hotel is close (15 min walk) to a ski slope which is excellent for beginner skiers such as ourselves. The hotel itself is very modern with well fitted rooms and spotlessly clean. The quality of food in the restaurant was way above that expected from a small hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful especially Martina who seemed to go out of her way to please. Very comfortable, roomy and modern accommodation which was kept clean and tidy throughout our stay. Staff were very helpful and the ski rental (free!!!) service was excellent. Outstanding quality, amount and value of breakfast and evening meals very good - all with excellent service. Good position for all ski resorts in Vysoké Tatry. The whole set up was brilliantly run and exceptionally comfortable. The proprietor made a specific point each morning of greeting each of the clientele at breakfast to see how things are going and to give any advise about the day ahead - a lovely touch. I'd use the inner-connecting staircases of the Pension to dine deliciously in the attached restaurant and then use the inner-connecting staircases to go to the ski shop so I could be outfitted in the finest ski wear-not that I know how to ski, but looks are important).
