Not sure why the "most helpful review" mentions shuttle service as there is none - or if there was, I was not informed. However, given it's less than a 5 minute walk to the Haram, it was never necessary and I liked the proximity. Staff were very friendly and accommodating in storing luggage after checkout (as my flight was late at night). Policy on room service is to do it while the guest is in the room and not in absentia unless a form is filled in making the request which felt more secure wit.
all reviews » Courteous staff. My return taxi was booked after Asar prayer while checkout time time was 2pm, receptionist kindly extended my check-out time to 5pm with no extra charge. Breakfast was good. It is only 5 minutes walk from Haram. They have shuttle for haram but I did not know about it till the checkout time. Electronic safe is provided in the room. Good value for money. Reception was very friendly and very helpful and welcoming. The location, though a bit odd, was not so far from the haram - only maybe 5 minutes relaxed walk further than Safwa Towers - for half the price. Breakfast was reasonable and the room was well proportioned. To and fro Non stop round the clock Bus service to Haram was excellent. Buffet break fast and other services was good. Room service was fair. Overall value for money. Inshallah if I will go again I will prerfer to stay in this hotel. Hotel close to haram but in hill top. They have busses plying to haram 24 hours .. so no issues. Haram is just 300 meters only its a good hotel.this hotel does not accept credit card so carry enough cash. It is near AL Haram; maybe 300 to 400 meters away from haram, you can go walking or you can utilize the shuttle bus; howeverif you use the bys it will take you longer to reach haram because the local police close some roads in order to control the traffic. It is a bit way up in a "mountain"; a very steep gradient getting down to the level of the Haram and one that would not be possible for elderly or disabled people. That is probably reflected in the price but should be more prominently visible in the description. There are 2 routes to hotel from haram one to walk up the steep hill (this is the longer route) and one up the many many steps. One need to be really fit to walk back to hotel. Not recommended for families with small kids or elderly. Shower is really tiny. The street outside the hotel is quite congested and there is a garbage dump next to the hotel entrance which is foul smelling. The location is in a strange location. It is on a very big hill with a very narrow street in front of it which made getting to the reception with luggage and leaving a bit difficult. The room TV is not LCD and has a few channals, climbing up the hill after the prayers is difficult. wish the old escalators was still their. The location was high up on the hill and couldn't be seen from the main road. Room space in deals is v less. They only offer very small rooms so people traveling with kids must be aware of it. no WI-FI &LCD in the room. Nothing really. I did not like the parking area. Bus service week need more attention improve bus service. Location is on a hill,to go down is a big problem and it is even worst coming back. Makkah is a place for religious purposes which requires going to the mosque 5 times a day,and I tell you it was hell for me and some people I met there.Another problem is the breakfast,everyday is boiled eggs,no fry eggs and no omellet and nobody will listen to you which I think is wrong,i will never stay there or reccommend it to anybody because it was pure hell going into and out of the hotel. Nothing values. The receptionist was terrible. location is in steep incline that makes it difficult to go for all prayers. No parking, my car was towed. There were mosquitoes and cockroaches. no internet as mentioned on booking. I requested WIFI but it was'nt facilitated. The hotel is on a mountain. The tunnel staircase shown in one of the pictures is not there anymore. The letsbookhotel.com should ask them to remove it from the profile as its very deceptive. not suitable for oldage person if need to go haram by walk. The bathroom was very small and the shower area very uncomfortable. the food served is very poor quality, cold, and more or less the same dishes all through the period i stayed there although i talked to the supervisor and they improved slightly the other thing i consider it expensive as it is not near to the the holy mosque. The buses to kaaba were infrequent we used to wait for the bus for very long time to come and pick us up. Room service was a bit slow. The high mountain place needed a car for elderly people which the hotel drivers was trying to skip. location is not good, hotel is on the hill. Location ( on a hill and difficult to reach). transport facilities from hotel to Harm before its good. they drop near to elevators of harm do other hotel bus do. its very difficult for the senior people they cant walk to much. the Hotel is on a mountain, although it is near the Holy Mosque of Haram but it is difficult to ascend and descend from there.. The location.have to go on shuttle service for prayers. I chose double room; the picture showed in their website is not reflecting the reality. The room is so small and the furniture is old and overused. In reality i was shocked and i was planning to change the hotel; however the money already will be non refundable if i changed my mind.
